Sending fan letters to STARTO

Other languages: SPANISH

Send your love ♡

In today’s digital era, expressing your support and love through comments, likes, and shares on various platforms is common and convenient. With just one click, you can convey your opinions and feelings.

Something that has been engraved in the culture of supporting STARTO talents is the act of sending fan letters. These letters are carefully written and structured by fans, expressing their thoughts and feelings in the physical form of a letter, giving the recipient something tangible to treasure.

Both digital and physical expressions of admiration are valid, but there’s something uniquely special about a handwritten letter.

Embrace the tradition of fan letters and share your love for STARTO in a unique, heartfelt way. Your words will undoubtedly bring joy to your favorite artists.

Sending Your Fan Letter

Writing a letter to your favorite STARTO artist can initially feel daunting, but it’s a deeply rewarding experience. Whether you write in Japanese, English, or any other language, your heartfelt words will be appreciated. While it’s easier for the artists to understand letters in Japanese, don’t let a language barrier stop you. You can ask someone for help translating or use tools like Deepl or ChatGPT. Including an English version below the Japanese can also be helpful.

What matters most is that you express what you truly feel. Sometimes, a simple “I really like you” is enough to convey your admiration.

To Write or Not to Write

Writing fan letters is a personal choice. Don’t feel pressured to write one just because others are doing it. However, if you feel even the slightest inclination, it’s highly recommended to give it a try.

Getting a Reply

While replies are rare, they’re not impossible. If you’d like to increase your chances of receiving a reply, include an envelope with paid Japanese postal stamps and letter paper. Write your return address on the envelope, preferably a Japanese address (yours or a friend’s). Including a few questions in your letter can also prompt a response from your favorite artist.

Fan letter address

〒107-8080
FAMILY CLUB内
(Group Name) and/or (Talent Name)様行

If you are posting from overseas, you need a bit more info, though.

Using Genta Matsuda from Travis Japan as an example:

Genta Matsuda, Travis Japan
FAMILY CLUB
Akasaka, Minato City
Tokyo, Japan, 107-8080

Please also note:

  • Please ensure that the artist’s name is included in the recipient’s address.
  • You cannot send a general letter to the group, so specify which member the letter is for.
  • Kindly refrain from sending anything other than letters.
  • Please ensure that there is sufficient postage.

About Gifts:

We regret to inform you that the FAMILY CLUB declines all gifts other than letters, including celebratory flowers and stuffed animal telegrams, regardless of their size or value.

If items cannot be identified as letters from their exterior packaging, they may be returned to the sender. Please understand that this policy also applies to items sent to theaters or concert venues.

Furthermore, anonymous gifts or perishable items such as food may be disposed of due to safety concerns if they cannot be returned.

    • If you want to send a photo, please add a download link to it.
  2. Submit Your Letter(s): At the end of the period, we will collect all the letters, print them, and put them in envelopes.
  3. Mailing the Letter(s): Dumpling Box will cover the postal fees for all the letters and send them to the FAMILY CLUB on your behalf.

FAQs

Q: I don’t speak Japanese. How do I write my letter?
You can write in English, but Japanese is always going to be easier for the talent to understand. As mentioned above, we recommend using Deepl or ChatGPT for machine translation, but keep your sentences short for accuracy.

The staff at Dumpling Box can help you out writing your letter in Japanese but against a fee. Please contact us through any of our channels if you’re interested.

Q: How will I know when my letter is sent?
We will announce the mailing dates and post photos on our X account.

Currently, we do not include stationery or return envelopes in the fan letter project. If you wish to send a handwritten letter (not a photo copy), please contact us on X for help if you can’t use the method mentioned above.
