SixTONES announced a livestream for New Year’s Eve (December 31st). The livestream will take place at 23:30 JST, on their official YouTube channel.
Details are yet to be revealed, but last week they ran a poll on Instagram stories, asking their followers to vote on the genre of music fans wanted SixTONES to sing as a group. After a fierce 24-hour battle, the music genre “Kira Kira (Sparkling) – Happy” won by just 1%. Later, it was revealed that this survey was to be for New Year’s Eve Livestream.
Today the fanclub members of SixTONES received an email asking them to vote for one of the 5 songs that SixTONES had chosen from the winning music genre. If you are a fanclub member, don’t forget to vote!
In the livestream they will also continue the tradition of deciding the group’s leader for the new year, through janken (game of rock-paper-scissors). SixTONES decides this important position every year through luck. It is said that the leader is the person who will be the busiest that year. So far, the leaders of the group have been the following members: Yugo Kochi (2020), Hokuto Matsumura (2021), Yugo Kochi (2022), Shintaro Morimoto (2023) and Jesse (2024).
