Formed in 2011 as Sexy Zone, the group was introduced as a five-member unit—Kento Nakajima, Kikuchi Fuma, Shori Sato, Sou Matsushima, and Marius Yo—debuting with a single that bore their name. Over the years, they became a symbol of perseverance, resilience, and unwavering connection between members and fans alike.
Ultimately, paths diverge. First, Marius graduated. Then, Kento followed. But that did not mean that their journey had come to an end. Their dreams and aspirations were never shattered—just evolving into something new. Sexy Zone was five, and to many, it will always be five. Yet, despite the pain and uncertainty, the group never wavered in their commitment to their music, their fans, and their bond with one another.
Change is inevitable, but the bonds built over time are unbreakable. Even with their individual pursuits, the members continuously show their connection through social media, interviews, and personal moments shared with fans. If there’s anything I have learned in the past years, it is to be grateful for the time “now.” What I am grateful for is that “now” I can still see and enjoy timelesz, even if they are in a different form. And that, THAT, is what I am most grateful for.
With 10+ years behind them as a group, Fuma, Shori, and So-chan have chosen to continue this journey. Not by running from the past, but by honoring it in a way that no one else could. Their new chapter is not a departure from what they built but an extension of it—a continuation of the legacy, not a replacement.
