Kaito Takahashi has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the Korean skin care brand “Torriden“.

King & Prince‘s Kaito Takahashi has been appointed as an ambassador for Korea’s “Torriden” skincare brand. He will appear in the episode “Moisturise your skin, dive in” which has been airing since 13 March. It is Takahashi‘s first skincare-related commercial.

This new commercial reflects the “freshness” characteristic of the representative brand “Dive-In Series”, showing the liberation from everyday life by immersing oneself in the world of water. The content conveys the charm of the product through a refreshing sense of liberation and happiness conveyed by Takahashi‘s facial expression.

Takahashi is shown relaxed, while surrounded by water, expressing the comfort of skin care with his whole body, as well as the moist texture of the skin being a point of interest, conveying the feeling of easy and intense penetration of the skin with the product and the spread of moisture.

Kaito Takahashi seemed to be a little nervous when he entered the studio, but when he stood in front of the camera, he smiled and seemed to be having fun. Although he seemed to have some difficulty at first due to nerves, when he finally got the shot he wanted, the staff could only applaud his charisma and professionalism.

During the filming, there were several moments when Takahashi was told to laugh by the staff, and he did so without difficulty, but the characteristic “Cut!” was shouted after the scene was over, and then he muttered, “If Ren was by my side I could laugh even more”. It was a moment where you could feel the good relationship with his group mate, Ren Nagase.

He also gave a short interview where he answered different questions about his feelings regarding this new work.

―― How does it feel to be named ambassador for your first skincare brand?

Takahashi: I never thought I could be a skincare ambassador. I am very grateful to be able to become an ambassador for a brand that I love so much because I can approach it with a lot of love and without lying in my words or in the expressions I show.

―― Please tell us how you felt after the shoot.

Takahashi: I don’t usually wear nice clothes like this costume, and it was very refreshing. The atmosphere on the site was calm and friendly, and I felt like I was a puppy. Everyone was shouting: “Laugh!” (laughs) I think I was able to have fun and let myself go with being photographed while being pampered by the atmosphere of the place.

―― During filming, there was one scene where they hung you up to express the “floating, cool feeling”, but what was it like to try it out?

Takahashi: It was difficult. To make sure that the focus and freshness of the product were reflected beautifully, I also approached the shoot carefully. But somehow, I was confident that it would turn out well.

―― This commercial theme is ” DIVE for moisture on your skin”. But what do you want to DIVE this spring, Mr Takahashi? (To dive in, to go deep, to immerse yourself, etc.)

Takahashi: I have a diving licence, and I love the sea, so I would like to dive into the ocean and meet various fish.

―― Finally, do you have a message for those who will be watching the new commercial?

Takahashi: The theme of this year’s edition was “Moisturise and DIVE into your skin”. I think I was able to express in my own way the freshness that is one of Torriden’s characteristics. I use this product on a daily basis, so let’s DIVE with me to get freshness and confidence in our daily lives!
