It has been announced SixTONES will have their first regular TV show on NTV, called Golden SixTONES, and will start this week, on April 6th.

The TV show will broadcast every Sunday at 9 p.m., one of the best time slots on television, demonstrating NTV’s expectations of the group. SixTONES is at the beginning of their 5th anniversary celebrations since their debut, and on May 1st they will begin celebrations for the 10th anniversary since the group’s formation. It’s certainly the best time for the long-awaited regular TV show that includes the group’s own name in the name of the TV show.
It’s a studio variety TV show in which SixTONES, as the MC, welcomes guests with the theme of โhaving fun together. โ In the first episode, SixTONES goes all out and invites the famousย Sanma Akashiyaย andย Takuya Kimura as guests.
The announcement of the long-awaited regular TV show for the group was made on the same TV network’s variety show, THE TETSUWAN DASH. The announcement on the show is special as one of the members of SixTONES, Shintaro Morimoto, is a regular member.
The TETSUWAN DASH was aired concurrently with SixTONES‘ concert at Kyocera Dome, which was part of their YOUNG OLD tour. Dumpling Box had the privilege of attending the show at Tokyo Dome, and you can read the report here. The members expressed their desire for the fans at the concert to receive the announcement simultaneously with everyone else. Therefore, during the MC segment of the concert, they watched a part of the TV show along with the fans, announcing this special event to the audience.

SixTONES was formed as a result of their appearance in the drama “Shiritsu Bakalea High School,” which used to be broadcast on NTV in 2012, and the group has since been used in many of the TV station’s dramas and variety shows, making them a group with close ties to NTV.
NTV expressed their expectations regarding the TV show on Sundays at 9 p.m. “We dared to place them in a strong position, thinking that we would entrust the slot to them who will carry NTV’s future for the next 10 or 20 years.“
Members chose the X hashtag to post their thoughts while the TV show is on air. The hashtag chosen is #GOในใ . ในใ (‘suto’) is the abbreviated term Japanese fans use to refer to the group (‘Sutลnzu’), so this hashtag means that they support the group and encourage them.
