April 22nd, marked the final show of SixTONES’ nationwide dome tour “VVS” (pronounced “VIBES“)!
The title “VVS” refers to a diamond’s clarity grade, symbolizing luxury and high value. We intertwined it with the latest album title, “THE VIBES,” to convey the meaning that “SixTONES ‘VIBES’ represent ‘VVS’ quality.”
“VVS” marks the group’s first-ever dome tour and was held in four locations—Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Tokyo—with a total of 10 performances since February.
The attendance at the Tokyo Dome shows was 55,000 people/per show, totaling 165,000 attendees for all of the Tokyo shows. The total attendance for this dome tour was 10 performances across 4 locations nationwide, with an expected total of 515,000 attendees.
The explosive nature of the tour in true SixTONES’ style truly encapsulated the essence of the group’s performance. The 360-degree stage, accompanied by a live band, and the inclusion of decorated trucks, it all came together to create a visually stunning and high-energy live show. This grand spectacle not only showcased the group’s musical talents but also exemplified their unique style and artistic expression. The incorporation of these elements truly elevated the concert experience, making it a memorable and immersive event for all attendees.
During this much-anticipated tour, the group reached a milestone as they took the stage with their very first “live band.” The audience was treated to unique and electrifying arrangements that differed from their recorded CDs, bringing a fresh and dynamic energy to the performance. The intense interactions between each band member and SixTONES created an atmosphere that strongly highlighted the concept of “live equals live” like never before. Each song pulsated with a new life as if it were being performed for the very first time. It was a truly unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
Moreover, this extraordinary tour boasts the first-ever “360-degree stage,” immersing the audience in a unique experience within the vast dome venue. SixTONES‘ performance truly encompasses their motto of “not leaving anyone behind,” with their entrances through the “Rock Lanes” at the tips of extended arms in all six directions and their energetic singing while riding flashy trucks decorated around the perimeter. They leave no corner untouched as they run along the stage paths in every direction.
※ Coined by the talented members of SixTONES themselves, “Rock Lanes” is a term that fuses elements of the “ROCK” music genre, the origin of their group name – “STONE,” and the mechanical movements of a “crane.” It encapsulates the essence of SixTONES and all that they represent.
