Last year’s “D.U.N.K. Showcase in KYOCERA DOME OSAKA,” held on December 2nd and 3rd at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome Osaka, will be streamed on the HYBE-launched app “Weverse” starting from May 4th!
It’s a part of the large-scale dance and vocal project “D.U.N.K. -DANCE UNIVERSE NEVER KILLED-” initiated by SKY-HI and Nippon Television in 2022.
Artists who shared SKY-HI’s vision of “transmitting Japan’s dance and vocal scene to the world, transcending boundaries” gathered at the live event “D.U.N.K. Showcase.” The lineup included SKY-HI, ATEEZ, FANTASTICS, BE:FIRST, Travis Japan, &TEAM, LIL LEAGUE, MAZZEL, IMP., THE JET BOY BANGERZ, and RIEHATA. Additionally, artist Nissy joined them as a special collaboration, resulting in a total of 12 acts crossing agency and label affiliations, as well as national and regional boundaries, which garnered significant attention and acclaim.
The decision has been made to broadcast this live event on the HYBE-launched app “Weverse.” This marks the first time a Japanese live event will be globally streamed on Weverse, which has been downloaded over 100 million times in 245 countries and regions. Fans worldwide will be able to watch the event while interacting via chat.
DAY 1 (December 2, 2023 performance) will be pseudo-live streamed starting from noon on May 4, while DAY 2 (December 3, 2023 performance) will be streamed from noon on May 5.
After the live stream ends, catch-up streaming will be available once preparations are complete. DAY 1 catch-up streaming will be available until June 3, and DAY 2 until June 4. This production can be viewed on mobile devices and PCs and smart TVs (limited to platforms that support the WeverseTV app).
