SixTONES‘ Shintaro Morimoto will take on for the fist time the role of voice actor of the Japanese version of the F1: The Movie, which will be released in June 27th. Shintaro will play the role of Joshua (Damson Idris), a rookie who confronts former charismatic F1 racer Sonny (Brad Pitt), and the role of Sonny will be played by the voice actor Kenyū Horiuchi, who is known for being the official voice actor of Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt teams up with the director of Top Gun Maverick, a worldwide phenomenon, for this film, which was produced with the full backing of Formula One and filmed on a scale unparalleled in the history of cinema, using real circuit tracks around the world.
The actors themselves trained rigorously for months and actually drove F1 cars in pursuit of realism to the limit. The film was also produced by the reigning F1 star Lewis Hamilton, who holds the title of World Champion.
Sonny‘s team-mate, rookie Joshua, is a young, overconfident racer. He is a character who clashes with Sonny, fights for his life and grows up on the stage of Formula One, where the powerful are swirling around him. The film depicts Sonny, Joshua and their friends as they face off against each other, but eventually together they surpass who they were yesterday and aim for the ‘pinnacle of speed’.
On the occasion of the announcement, you can see the Japanese trailer for the film which is set to the legendary rock band Queen‘s We Will Rock You. The famous song, which has thrilled audiences in a variety of scenes in the past, now, along with the powerful images, will intensely inspire the F1 driver played by Brad, the team members, the enthusiastic crowd at the circuit and the film fans around the world who are waiting for the release of the film, raising their expectations for the film.
COMMENT BY SHINTARO MORIMOTO

When I got the offer this time, I originally liked cars and the subject matter was F1, so there was no way I wouldn’t do it! On the contrary, I was like, “Are you sure you want me to do this?” But I took it on as a new challenge for myself.
SixTONES‘ members encouraged me and told me “There are a lot of professionals in the field, so just listen to everyone’s advice and leave everything to them.” I could relate to Joshua‘s passion for creating something as a team, so it was very easy for me to put my heart into it. Through Joshua, it was a great experience to go toe-to-toe with Bradd Pitt.
The film is packed with a sense of power and realism that makes you feel like you’re driving on the circuit and makes you sweat when you watch it.
Of course it’s full of the charm of F1, but I think people who don’t know F1 will probably enjoy it more!
The cinema becomes a cockpit. It’s the only film that gives you that experience!
It will make you the best driver. You should definitely see it on the big screen!
