SixTONES new program “Warota!” on Amazon Prime Video

A new way of humorous entertainment is coming your way! Amazon Prime Video’s new comedy show featuring SixTONES, “Warota!” will be distributed every other Friday at 4 pm starting 18 July for a total of six episodes. This will be the group’s first attempt at comedy. The word Warota means “I laughed”. It is used especially for funny events or situations.

In the program, SixTONES takes on the challenge of writing and directing all kinds of scripts, with a cast of star-studded actors and up-and-coming creators as guests. The six members’ personalities clash fiercely in situation comedy, series comedy, and short comedy on a full-scale art set.

You can read members’ comments after the first recording of the program!

Everyone is already wonderful! Even though you (members) are busy, you’ve learned a lot of lines (laughs). Contrast is something I’ve always wanted to do, so I’m very grateful that SixTONES is letting me do the show, and I’d like to watch it at home as a viewer without thinking about it. Please watch the chemical reactions between SixTONES, who take their comedy seriously, and the guests! If you suddenly feel like laughing, “Warota!” is available on Prime Video.

TAIGA KYOMOTO

I felt the editing skills of the staff, who are used to comedy, and the greatness of the guest actors. I can confidently say that the quality of the program is “a comedy program”.

Also, the characters of each SixTONES member changes so much with the comedy that I wondered if they were really the same person. You will discover a lot of new aspects of SixTONES! The variety of the comedy is also very varied, from elaborate comedy to improvisation, so I think it’s a great program with plenty of variety to keep the viewer entertained!

HOKUTO MATSUMURA

I think the hurdle for watching the comedy is low because the story of the comedy is easy to understand, and there were many moments when I could watch it and laugh without thinking about it. On the other hand, there are also some intricate comedy bits every once in a while! I hope that the audience will enjoy the perfect balance between the two. I was absorbed in the performance, but when I looked at the footage, I could see that there was a general sense of fun, and more than anything, I felt that the “power” of the show came from the fact that the performers themselves were having fun and getting into the show.

YUGO KOCHI

I could really feel the seriousness of the staff, and I think it’s a very worthwhile program! The recording of the program will continue, and after watching the finished episode once, I thought “I wish we could do this better”, so I’m sure the program will continue to evolve! I hope you are looking forward to the growth of SixTONES plus the evolution of our “Warota!

The recording was frankly interesting! There was a great atmosphere and everyone’s personalities really came out, there were parts where we were relaxed and parts where we laughed hysterically… the hour of the show flew by. In the program, we often propose our own comedy and then have it shaped, which I think is one of the highlights of the show! It’s been quite a while since all six of us have performed together, so I’d like you all to watch the comedies that only SixTONES can pull off together. We’re happy to be able to bring you a moment of laughter, so please enjoy “Warota!”.

This is the first time that we, SixTONES, have tried our hand at a proper comedy. We’ve tried all kinds of things in the past, but there were still some ‘firsts’ like this! hope you enjoy watching us desperately searching for something like that. I don’t think we’ve achieved a perfect score at this point, but I think we’ve done what we can do now. If people find “Warota!” is interesting, will we be able to continue doing more of it? I have a dream that we can continue to do this, so if you would like to join us, please do!
