On July 1, when the press conference was held to introduce the participants of this year’s “24HOUR TV”/24時間テレビ charity program, King & Prince were introduced at the conference to announce that they will collaborate with charities in Nippon Television‘s annual summer program “24HOUR TV” No. 48/24時間テレビ48 to be broadcast on August 30 and 31.

The theme of this year’s program, having been held since 1978, is “Tell me about “YOU”/「あなたのことを教えて」. The different charities will participate in projects with their own themes, such as disaster recovery and support for people with disabilities, in order to expand their charitable work. Each participant will approach on-site reporting with a realistic perspective and great passion.
The press conference was attended by presenters Shinya Ueda and Shinichi Hatori, along with broadcaster Asami Miura, as well as charity partners King & Prince, Jun Shison, Kazushige Nagashima, Minami Hamabe, Hikawa Kiyoshi and Yasuko.
King & Prince already participated as charity personalities in 2021, so this year they will each take on their own projects as charity partners.
Kaito Takahashi will give a special dance performance with dancers of different personalities in the borderless LIVE『We are the No border!!!』with the theme “Dancing Around the World”. Takahashi, who has nearly 20 years of dance experience and is internationally recognized as one of the most expressive dancers in the entertainment industry, connects with dancers who love music and believe in the power of dance. He will offer a show that transcends national, ratial and disability boundaries. Takahashi emphasized: “I want to create a space where the audience is filled with only the excitement of entertainment“
Ren Nagase, meanwhile, will launch fireworks into the summer night sky. He will challenge himself to create an unprecedented pyrotechnic show with powerful light and vibration to create unforgettable summer memories together. Nagase smiled and said: “I have quite a few friends in the show business” and later, when asked for an example, he specified: “I consider Ueda-San a very good friend, I think I will be able to count on him for this as well” thus demonstrating his closeness with Shinya Ueda.
Another relevant figure at this press conference was Jun Shison, who said: “I have been in contact with Nagase Ren, who is by my side now, since before he was in King & Prince and we watched Kohaku Uta Gassen on New Year’s Eve” Nagase then replied happily: “As Jun-kun said, we have been friends for many years, he used to come to our concerts. It’s comforting to be able to work together with Kaito and Jun-kun“
Kaito Takahashi also added, “I’ve always seen Miura-san while eating breakfast on the ZIP! program, so I feel like we’re related. I grew up seeing her face, which always showed happiness, so in a way I’m grateful to her for raising me“
It has also been decided that a charity marathon will be held and a special drama will be broadcast, details of which will be announced soon. Charity items are now available for purchase and donations will also be accepted.
