KAMIGATA BOYZ brings you “KAMIGATA BOYZ DREAM IsLAND 2024″
The event is scheduled to take place on September 21st and 22nd at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, all forms of entertainment came to a halt, as the novel coronavirus spread fear and uncertainty across the globe.
In the midst of this challenging period, a burning question emerged: “What can we do?” And with it, another: “Is there a way to provide entertainment in these trying times?” Despite the obstacles and uncertainty, several groups, including SUPER EIGHT, WEST., Naniwa Danshi, Ae! group, and a total of 70 STARTO Jr. from the Kansai region stepped up to take charge and organize a livestreaming event at Taiyo no Hiroba in Osaka’s Expo ’70 Commemorative Park.
Even without a physical audience present, they were determined to bring joy and light to the public through their performances, just like they have always done. Aptly named “DREAM IsLAND 2020→2025 ~From Our Beloved City~,” the event promised to be a beacon of hope and positivity amidst the darkness. And now, four long years later, over 100 immensely talented individuals will come together at last for an eagerly anticipated in-person event, ready to dazzle and delight their devoted fans once again.
Earlier this May, three of the forementioned groups, SUPER EIGHT, WEST., and Naniwa Danshi, released the song titled “Musekinin Eejanaika LOVE“/”無責任でええじゃないかLOVE,” under the name KAMIGATA BOYZ. This song epitomizes all the STARTO Kansai groups have to offer! It is packed with the infectious energy and spirit we’ve come to love them for, but also shows the essence of what it means to be a part of the STARTO Kansai family.
Needless to say, the song became such a hot topic as it reached number one on the ranking charts of many download/streaming sites, and the demand for a physical release was so high they actually went through with one!
At this concert, KAMIGATA BOYZ is a family project originating from Kansai, and it will also feature the members of Ae! group, Lil Kansai, Boys be, AmBitious, and STARTO Jr. from Kansai, bringing together the “strongest and invincible” Kansai people all at once.
Knowing the power and charm that all these Kansai native groups possess, they’re expected to be invincible, and the possibilities for this project are infinite!
