Bishonen‘s performance of Mahou no Yoru (魔法の夜) is their latest video published to the Junior YouTube channel! Originated in their 2024 live tour, Gates+, Mahou no Yoru diversifies Bishonen‘s discography with this jazz addition.
Consisting of members Taisho Iwasaki, Ryuga Sato, Yuto Nasu, Hidaka Ukisho, Naoki Fujii, and Issei Kanasashi, Bishonen (美少年) are tour de forces who have built up their dance skills within the past couple of years with such songs as Flicky. Mahou no Yoru is their latest addition that shows off their exquisite dance style.
Kicking off with a thumping bass line that’s quickly followed by a jazz piano, the classic vibes of this song radiate through the entire song even down to the choreography. Compared to the rest of Bishonen‘s discography, Mahou no Yoru is a style of song that they haven’t performed yet but is one they show they have mastered.
While the steps and formations aren’t as difficult as some of their more dance-centric numbers, Bishonen dance this song flawlessly. There isn’t a step or kick out of place throughout the entire performance as they slide and jive to the beat. It’s a true testament to their their abilities as dancers to be in so sync as a six member ensemble.
What truly makes Mahou no Yoru stand out is the vocal performances from all of the members. Nasu‘s low vocals are heavenly to listen to, and Ryuga hits his notes with ease throughout the roughly three minute run time. Fujii, Ukisho, and Issei offer up beautiful vocals as well while Taisho‘s runs at the end of the song are positively heavenly to listen to.
Mahou no Yoru is another smash hit from Bishonen that further builds upon the talents of the group. It is no wonder that this song has become a big hit among Bishonen fans with it quickly racking up thousands of views in the first few minutes of posting! I highly recommend giving this performance a watch!
