SixTONES‘ Yugo Kochi will star in Japanese edition of Neil Simon‘s stage play “Come Blow Your Horn”. It’s Yugo‘s first leading role in a play.

“Come Blow Your Horn” is Neil Simon‘s first play, which premiered on Broadway in 1961, had a London production in 1962 at the Prince of Wales Theatre and was performed many times in Japan.
The younger brother Buddy (played by Yugo Kochi) is reserved, self-confident and shy, while the older brother Alan (played by Shugo Oshinari) is a playboy and enjoys the single life. The contrasting personalities and behaviours of the two brothers switch later in the play, bringing laughter, which is typical of Neil Simon.

To be honest, when I heard this story, I couldn’t feel it immediately and wondered if I was really ok. But now that I have been given the chance, I will seize this opportunity and work hard in training so that many customers can see the new charm of Yugo Kochi! I’m anxious about playing the lead role for the first time, but I hope to do my best with all my co-stars and staff and cherish every performance.
The story is also a comedy, so I would be happy if you could come to the theatre to refresh yourselves!
“Come Blow Your Horn” will be performed at New National Theatre Centre starting October 3 until October 20, and at the Morinomiya Piloti Hall in Osaka from October 25 until October 28.
