“Romantic Killer” (ロマンティック・キラー) is a live-action film based on the manga by Wataru Momose. The story follows Anzu Hoshino (played by Moka Kamishiraishi), a high school girl who absolutely does not want to fall in love. A magical wizard named Riri suddenly appears and casts a spell on Anzu to make her fall in love within a month. This made handsome boys appear one after another in order to stop the chaos in the magical world that is fueled by “love energy”. As she faces a number of “romantic traps” Anzu eventually closes the gap with her three classmates.
Joichiro plays as the mysterious SAT member who suddenly appears during the unfortunate incident that forces Anzu to drive the bus she boarded. Delivering a powerful performance from the promotional video alone, the mysterious SAT member kicks open the window and lands showing a fearless grin as he boards the bus. Along with the perfect landing, he delivers his lines in English with utmost confidence giving the protagonist precise instructions.
Along with Joichiro, his fellow member Kyohei who is one of the film’s main protagonist. He plays the role of Kazuki Tsukasa, a handsome and mysterious transfer student who became close to Anzu after some set of circumstances.
jOICHIRO FUJIWARA ABOUT THE ROLE

When I was offered to play the role of the Mysterious SAT, I was like “Huh?”. It was my first time playing a character where all the lines were entirely in English and this production had all sorts of surprises.
When I heard that Kyohei will be starring in this film, my first impression was that it would be a lot of fun. Also, there’s the two co-stars (Sota Nakajima, and Masaya Kimura) who we performed with on a music show, and I think it was very reassuring for Kyohei as well.
Just watching the trailer for this project made me feel really excited. I hope that this film will close everyone’s year with full of heart-fluttering moments and laughter.
kyohei takahashi‘s comment
I’ve only ever seen Jo-kun (Joichiro) speak in a thick Kansai dialect, hearing him speak in English was felt really strange. It was also really refreshing to see the same cast members appearing in a film that I starred in, and that left a strong impression on me.
kyohei takahashi about the role
When I first read the script, Kazuki Tsukasa‘s role had a lot of similarities with me. I think I was able to show their best both in a form of 50% Kyohei Takahashi and 50% Kazuki Tsukasa, and I had a great time playing it. I was able to enjoy the filming in such a great atmosphere with everyone my age.
Starting from here, I think I’d like to tell the truth… This film is not a soup of corn, a soy latte, a cafe latte, or a Pomeranian. It’s called “Romakira“*
In this film, there are countless of boys who stirs things up for Anzu, played by Moka Kamishiraishi, a highlight is seeing three members from different boy groups co-starring as her three classmates who became deeply involved with her. I also hope you’ll watch closely to see how they overcome the unique obstacles that will stand in Anzu’s way as a romantic killer.
I think it’s definitely an interesting project. From now on, please look forward to its release.

“Romantic Killer” directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa will be in theaters on December 12, 2025. All mentioned groups will also take part in the film’s original sound track. You can also watch the anime series on Netflix.
