Starring the incredibly talented Yurika Nakamura and Atsuhiro Inukai, “The Flawless Revenge by the Flawless Wife” will air from August 13 on the MBS/TBS Dramaism slot, and it’s set to be an absolute rollercoaster of emotions and suspense.
Joining them in this high-stakes game of deceit and unexpected twists are Kaito Nakamura from our beloved Travis Japan and the rising star Ui Mihara. This drama promises an intense narrative of betrayal and revenge that you simply cannot miss!
Originally a novel by Koharu Yukimura, “The Flawless Revenge by the Flawless Wife” started serialization on EVERYSTAR (エブリスタ) in March 2022 and quickly captivated readers.
Yurika Nakamura plays Narumi Amamiya, the epitome of a perfect wife who excels at both work and home life. Her seemingly flawless marriage is shattered when she discovers her husband, Shuto (played by Atsuhiro Inukai), is having an affair with her subordinate, nurse Ririka Arima (Ui Mihara).
Determined to exact her revenge, Narumi embarks on a meticulously planned campaign to bring her husband to his knees. Meanwhile, Haruto devises his own strategy to counter her moves, involving his colleague Mizuki Kashiwagi (Kaito Nakamura). As Narumi and Shuto’s battle of wits unfolds, Mizuki finds himself drawn deeper into their twisted game, struggling with his growing feelings for Narumi and loyalty to his friend.
A Word from Kaito Nakamura
This project marks the second acting role for Travis Japan’s pet tiger, the first being cast in the movie “Mr. Yano’s ordinary days.“
Kaito shared his excitement about the role: “When I first heard about this project, I was shocked! I immediately bought all the manga volumes and devoured them. Mizuki’s character is depicted as a beautiful young man, and I had so many ideas about how to portray him. I hope to bring Mizuki to life in a way that fans of the original story will love. I’m looking forward to creating a captivating character alongside my fellow cast members, the director, and the staff.“
The series is brought to life by a trio of distinguished directors: Hiroaki Yuasa, known for “Shino Can’t Say Her Name” and “I Want to Break Up with My Boyfriend“; Miki Tomita, renowned for “ビート・パー・MIZU” and “Around1/4″; and Gen Onoda, celebrated for his work on “MASCARA MATSUGE” from “5つの歌詩”.
The script is penned by a talented team of writers, including Yuko Imanishi (“My Smoke-scented Sister and My Cunning Younger Sister“), Hikaru Soma (“Hospital Police” and “The Cult’s Daughter“), and Ami Inagawa (“Iburigurashi” and “Half-boiled Family“).
