Ryosuke Yamada Announces First Solo CD Single “Blue Noise,” Out January 14

Ryosuke Yamada, known as a central member of Hey! Say! JUMP, will release his first-ever CD single under just the name Ryosuke Yamada on January 14.

A black and white portrait of Ryosuke Yamada, sitting on the floor with a thoughtful expression, wearing a black attire, with soft shadows creating a dramatic atmosphere.

Following the full album RED, this new single marks the next stage of his evolution as a solo artist—an artist now fully stepping into a sound and persona distinctly his own.

Unlike earlier solo-featured works such as “Oh! my darling” and “Mystery Virgin,” which were released under the banner of Hey! Say! JUMP rather than as independent artist credits, Blue Noise signals a decisive shift toward a darker, more mature sonic identity, reflecting the artistic depth he has developed in recent years.

In April, Ryosuke also embarked on his first solo arena tour, Ryosuke Yamada LIVE TOUR 2025 RED, a milestone that offered audiences a more personal, expressive, and theatrically nuanced performance style. The tour served as both a celebration of his album and a declaration of the artistic independence that now shapes his solo identity, setting the stage for the arrival of Blue Noise.

Blue Noise is positioned as a work that captures the essence of Ryosuke’s expressive range. The track moves fluidly between cool restraint and burning passion, embodying the duality that has become one of his signatures.

The production leans into groove-driven textures, while the vocal performance deliberately pushes further into the dramatic sensitivity a solo project allows. It is a piece shaped from his current artistic maturity—uncompromising, atmospheric, and confidently crafted.

Alongside the title track, each edition of the single includes the shared coupling song “(Title TBD) A,” a dance track built on a simple but addictive melody and beat. The song reveals a sharper, more experimental edge—territory Ryosuke has not displayed overtly in either group activities or past solo work. Vocals, tone, and visual presentation in the accompanying MV suggest a new creative direction and hint at untapped potential waiting to unfold.

Additional coupling tracks differ between the Limited Edition and Regular Edition, offering a varied look into his artistic “present moment.” Each version expands the emotional and stylistic palette of the release, making Blue Noise not just a single but a snapshot of where his solo artistry stands in 2026.

A Limited Production Edition will also be available, featuring an exclusive photo card (one type), with manufacturing scheduled to end at the end of March 2026. An online-exclusive edition from FAMILY CLUB.STORE has been confirmed as well, with full product details and pre-orders set to open on December 8. Jackets and specifications vary across the Limited Edition, Regular Edition, Limited Production Edition, and FAMILY CLUB.STORE Online Exclusive Edition.
