This announcement feels like a long time coming from when NEWS first released their debut single “NEWS Nippon” in 2003. Now to commemorate their debut anniversary on September 15th, NEWS are to distribute the entire collection of their 32 released singles – a total of 150 tracks.
However it doesn’t stop there, from October 1st their 16 albums including 349 tracks, will also be available worldwide on all streaming services and online stores.
To bring NEWS’ music to more people in Japan and all around the world, they are sharing their entire history from their debut to the present. Fans will now be able to enjoy iconic songs such as “weeeek” “Chankapana,” “UR not alone,” bask in the nostalgia of their debut single, or listen to the most recent album “JAPANEWS.” Every hit will be shared, the grand musical narrative and story-telling that is their epic four-part album series “NEVERLAND,” “EPCOTIA,” “WORLDISTA,” “STORY,” will officially be available anywhere, anytime.
Ahead of the release, NEWS has also unveiled a new artist photo. Along with their new group logo, the image features the three members in silver costumes, looking toward the future, showcasing a mature and artistic vibe.
Additionally, on the launch day September 15th, NEWS will hold their first live stream via LINE MUSIC and their official YouTube channel. This special project will indulge into the allure of NEWS‘ music and they have planned a major announcement on their official YouTube channel to commemorate this celebratory day.
In total, 499 songs from their singles and albums will be released for our digital consumption, and the details of a special 500th song—named “+1”—will be announced during the livestream!
