SixTONES’ Jesse joins Kantele/ Fuji TV drama “モンスター” “Monster” as Yoshihiro Sugiura, starring Shuri. The show will start in October.
“MONSTER” is a unique legal entertainment drama in which the mysterious monster lawyer, Ryoko Kannami (played by Shuri), who is not bound by “common sense” and faces her opponents by “eliminating emotions,” faces various problems unique to the Reiwa era where the law sometimes does not keep up, and takes on court battles as if they were a game.

He is a young lawyer in his third year at the Okusa Keiko law firm where Ryoko (played by Shuri) joins. He is an honest, serious and hard-working man who graduated from the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Law with a degree in law. He is good at ‘studying’ and his good looks make him very proud. As a senior lawyer, he tries to teach Ryoko some ‘common sense’, but she refuses to listen to him and, on the contrary, is turned on by his overwhelming energy and ability to break through…

When I first heard about it, I was happy, but at the same time I thought it was a casting mistake. I thought it would be too far from me, as lawyers have an image of a rigid profession. The role I play, Sugiura, is an elite lawyer, a man of high pride who never bends himself. He teams up with Ryoko (played by Shuri), and is pushed around by her. The lawyer has a lot of jargon lines and it is my first time playing a lawyer, so it is a challenge, but I think it will be a good experience. I’m also looking forward to seeing how Sugiura grows as he sometimes wonders and worries about where he stands, and I think it will be easy for viewers to get into the drama as the plot is completed in the same episode. It is a drama that deals with deep themes that are relevant in this day and age, but it also has a lot of pop elements that make it worth watching. I will do my best to make sure you enjoy it.
