Fresh from Japan, Naniwa Danshi has set Taiwan abuzz with excitement as they gear up for their first-ever overseas concerts, part of the Naniwa Danshi ASIA TOUR 2024+2025 ‘+Alpha’ in Taipei. Performing this Saturday and Sunday at Taipei Arena, the seven-member group has drawn massive fanfare since their arrival, proving their status as one of Japan’s most beloved pop acts.

Before heading overseas, Naniwa Danshi dazzled fans across Japan during their domestic tour, Naniwa Danshi LIVE TOUR 2024 ‘+Alpha’. Kicking off earlier this year, the tour took the group to major arenas across Japan, taking their fans on an intergalactic journey.
The Japan tour featured a mix of their biggest hits—like the infectious “Beginner LOVE (UBU LOVE)“, hit singles to unit songs from the album of the same name as the tour that highlighted their evolving sound.
During the MC of the press day show, the group announced the Asia tour along with the announcement that a portion of their discography would be coming on streaming.
Hearing the fans cheer in excitement and join the boys in the celebration on stage was truly heartwarming, and now, we’re at the first stop of their Asia Tour, in Taiwan, with fans eagerly anticipating the same level of energy and creativity at their Taipei concerts as they did in Japan.
A Grand Welcome at Songshan Airport
Arriving at Taipei Songshan Airport around noon on the 28th, Naniwa Danshi was greeted by a throng of 600 ecstatic fans, many holding handmade banners and official fans bearing the members’ faces to show their heartfelt support. The scene was electric, with cheers so loud they could’ve shaken the terminal walls.
The members—Joichiro Fujiwara, Daigo Nishihata, Kazuya Ohashi, Kyohei Takahashi, Ryusei Onishi, Shunsuke Michieda, and Kento Nagao—looked effortlessly cool in their casual yet stylish travel outfits.
One outfit stood out, and it was Kazuya’s t-shirt—a one-of-a-kind shirt made by the genius Joichiro himself. They greeted fans warmly, waving, making finger hearts, and turning back to engage with the local fans, appreciating and acknowledging their support and love.

In the afternoon, Naniwa Danshi attended a press conference, showing off their preparation for coming abroad and humor. Each member greeted fans in Mandarin or Taiwanese, adding a local flair to their charm.
Joichiro, a frequent visitor to Taiwan, even yelled out “Sanbei chicken is amazing!” leaving the room in laughter. Leader Kazuya even did his signature intro-gag in Taiwanese, earning giggles throughout the room.
For Kyohei, this trip marked his first-ever experience abroad. “It’s my first time using a passport, and being able to travel with my bandmates makes it even more special,” he shared with excitement. Even small steps, like taking off his glasses for security photos or fingerprint scans, felt thrilling for him.
At the airport, Ryusei expressed his gratitude, saying, “The fans here are so warm and welcoming. It’s clear how much Taiwanese fans like us.”
The group was touched by signs that read, “Thank you for coming to Taiwan,” and couldn’t wait to meet more fans at their concerts.
In addition to their concerts, they’ve also launched a pop-up shop, NANIWA no NIWA in ASIA, at Huashan 1914 Creative Park. Running through December 8, the shop offers fans a closer look at the group’s unique charm through the sold goods.
Kento wrapped up the press conference with a heartfelt message: “Thank you to all the media here today and everyone reading this. It’s my first time in Taiwan, and I’ve fallen in love with it. I’m so excited to meet our Taiwanese fans and share the passion we feel with them.”
The group also expressed their hope to connect not just with their local fans but also to introduce Japanese fans to the beauty of Taiwan.
Naniwa Danshi’s performances at Taipei Arena promise to be unforgettable, a first of its kind, for them and their beloved Nani-Fams. Let’s continue to cheer for the brightest seven stars in the universe! This is just the beginning.
Stay seated for a colorful adventure like no other as there will be more Naniwa Danshi coming your way!
