Naniwa Garden: A flowery Nanifam gathering in Singapore! 💐

On 14th December 2024, Nanifam in Singapore gathered to arrange flower bouquets according to their oshi colour! While this day does not hold any significance in particular, to Naniwa Danshi, it is the same weekend that their B-side tracks have become available for streaming on various online platforms.

This marks an amazing week for both old and new Singapore Nanifam to share Naniwa Danshi’s music with their friends and family. During the event, Singapore Nanifam bonded over some discussion of their favourite B-side tracks over careful concentration in arranging their flowers.

You might be wondering, why arrange flower bouquets? It is surely a unique and never-heard-before fan activity. As the second Nanifam gathering to ever be held in Singapore, I wanted to organize something memorable and fun for fans. By bonding over creating something so near and dear to our hearts, we could easily feel each other’s passion in loving Naniwa Danshi. Here are the final products of our creations!

This author must confess that I am rather new to the world of STARTO Entertainment, having only properly becoming a Nanifam just 1.5 years ago.

Given the popularity and impressive reputation of Naniwa Danshi and their labelmates as per their online following, it was a surprise to me that there were little to no community J-pop events held by fans in Singapore. Pick any weekend from the calendar and surely you could find a café event for a K-pop or C-pop idol, but rarely for J-pop.

With the desire to strengthen this community for Nanifam, I decided to take matters into my own hands by organizing the first Naniwa Danshi gathering to celebrate member Kyohei Takahashi’s birthday back in February 2024. This was held in tandem with a POPMALL viewing party and some delicious potluck food! I have also put together a short 5-minute vlog to capture my experience in organizing this event.

Given the mini success of this first event, it only felt right to bring the year to a close with a final 2024 gathering by creating beautiful bouquets to wish for Naniwa Danshi’s blooming success with the ongoing +Alpha Asia Tour.

A couple of Singapore Nanifam in attendance shared their experiences attending previous tours at Japanese stops and of course, at the Taiwan show! A few more were also enthusiastically planning their itineraries for the South Korea and Hong Kong leg of the tour! May all their plans go smoothly in their endeavors to attend these tour stops. Who has gone to the Asia Tour shows or planning to? 👀

The dream, of course, is for Naniwa Danshi to keep growing in their successful careers and include hopefully include South East Asian destinations in their future international tours!

My heart only grows warmer as I see many passionate fans in the region displaying their excitement for Naniwa Danshi in organizing fan events like this! The future may not always be certain, but it is certainly a joy going through life with Naniwa Danshi’s music by your side (especially when available on streaming platforms now)!

To all Nanifam reading this, have a continued lovely 2025!

Stay seated for a colorful adventure like no other as there will be more Naniwa Danshi coming your way!
