Pair up!
SixTONES released the digeST video of their unit songs for their upcoming fourth album “THE VIBES” on their official YouTube channel! Since their first album, SixTONES has included unit songs done by pairs alongside their group songs. For their fourth album, the pairings and songs are as follows:
- Jesse x Kochi Yugo: “BLUE DAYS”
- Kyomoto Taiga x Morimoto Shintaro: “Kibou no Uta” (希望の唄)
- Matsumura Hokuto x Tanaka Juri: “Super Boy” (スーパーボーイ)
Fans were quick to react about how the unit songs matched the personality of each pairing. It can be said that it is a long-standing tradition for fans to guess the unit song pairing whenever a new album is announced, some even go as far as to search for clues on social media postings and radio talks of the groups as fans often find some hints regarding new projects thru those avenues.

SixTONES consists of 6 members – Jesse Lewis, Taiga Kyomoto, Hokuto Matsumura, Shintaro Morimoto, Kochi Yugo and Juri Tanaka, and made its co-debut in 2020 with Snow Man, another group from the same agency.
The name “SixTONES” is pronounced “Stones“, with the “ix” in “Six” being silent. The “stones” pronunciation refers to “diamond in the rough“, where the group’s potential emerges as its members continually polish and refine their skills. The name also refers to the six members, each with a distinctive tone, personality and sound.
A physical disc version of the full album drops on 10 January 2024 wherever Japanese CDs are sold, featuring additional bonus tracks and behind-the-scenes video extras!
