Kis-My-Ft2’s Miyata Toshiya to stand onstage in Manila for ANISAMA WORLD 2025

The wait is over, Filipino STARTO and anime fans! Wilbros Live has announced the latest addition to the lineup for ANISAMA WORLD 2025 in MANILA, with none other than Kis-My-Ft2’s Toshiya Miyata! 

ANISAMA, also known as Animelo Summer Live, is Japan’s biggest anime music festival, hosted annually by Dwango and Nippon Cultural Broadcasting. Every festival features a wide array of anime stars, voice actors, and more, with performances spanning several days. The latest edition, Animelo Summer Live 2024 -Stargazer- was held from August 30-September 1, 2024. The event has been held in Saitama Super Arena since 2008, amassing over 70,000 attendees in 2024. 

The event will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines. Other artists in the lineup include ASH DA HERO, Ave Mujica, MAYU MAESHIMA, MindaRyn, HIROSHI KITADANI, and more to be revealed soon.

In the 2024 iteration of the festival, Toshiya performed “Yuuki 100%” with Oishi Masayoshi, Kent Ito, and UniteUp! “We are!” by HIROSHI KITADANI as part of the ANISAMA FRIENDZ, “Nemophilia feat. Tokiya Ichinose (ST☆RISH),” and “Butter-Fly” with Kent Ito.

Born on September 14, 1988, in Kanagawa, Toshiya Miyata has been nothing short of a prince. Debuting on August 10, 2011, with Kis-My-Ft2 long after their formation in July 2005, Toshiya has been active in several fields, including but not limited to acting, voice acting, Vocaloid production, and gaming. Within the group, he has been involved in producing the group’s merchandise for their annual live tours.

In 2021, he collaborated with ST☆RISH’s Tokiya Ichinose with the song “Nemophilia.” He lovingly refers to his fans as himes (princesses) and treats fans, staff, and his fellow members respectfully, further reinforcing his princely nature. He has been active as an actor, particularly known for his role as Toshiya in the iterations of DREAM BOYS from 2012-2016 and 2018. He also debuted as an author with his light novel Kyoukai no Melody in May 2024 and is currently writing a sequel.  

Aside from being an idol as a member of Kis-My-Ft2, Toshiya is well known for his passion for anime and has been an avid fan since his early childhood after being influenced by his older sister. Because of his fondness for this craft, he scored his voice-acting debut in Gekijouhan BEM ~BECOME HUMAN~ in 2020, as well as receiving his first main role as Akina Myodo in Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez in 2024. He stars in his most recent role as Hiroshi Hongo in the anime film Eiga Senpai wa Otokonoko: Ame Nochi Hare, released just last month. 

Aside from his anime roles, he hosts a radio show called “Moe Radio,” where he talks about anime and manga he’s been into recently, as well as giving fans advice on life as an otaku, not limited to anime only, but also a Kisumai fan. In addition, he does monthly live streams on Nico Live, where he regularly invites guests to talk about anime, voice acting, manga, and other interests, as well as play games and chat about random topics and such.
