To commemorate 20 years since their debut, Kanjani8 unlocks their full history for fans in a momentous re-release of their complete discography! That’s right Eighters, Eito is finally giving us every single song they have ever released for our digital consumption!
In addition to their hit songs “Zukkoke Otokomichi’‘ and “Musekinin Hero,” Eito is also including the 8, 7, and 6 member versions of songs that have evolved and changed over the years – so every era and precious memory of Kanjani8 will be fully celebrated! We get to revisit the classic songs by our lovable and hilarious Eight Rangers, and of course, the new music of their beloved little sister group, Kyanjani∞.
January 1st (Monday) is the grand kickoff of Kanjani8‘s 20th-anniversary year! And to celebrate, the group will be dropping the first combo distribution; two of their epic best-of albums “8EST” & “GR8EST” – along with their newest singles and “8BEAT Complete Edition” album by all five current members.
But wait, the “Wonderful World” of Eito doesn’t stop there! On January 24th (Wednesday), brace yourselves for a nostalgic trip as they unleash ALL of Kanjani8‘s past albums; from the debut masterpiece “Kansha ni ∞” to the ninth album sensation, “Jam.”
And for the grand finale, January 31st (Wednesday) marks the wrap-up distribution with the collection of every single; from the original classic “Naniwa Iroha Bushi” to the beautiful 42nd single “crystal” – every hit will be shared once again. Kanjani8‘s history will officially be available anytime, anywhere. We will be able to listen and download them all from online stores and streaming services.

It’s a “rolling coaster” full of musical memories! Kanjani8 fans everywhere will be truly spoiled for their 20th anniversary!
As someone who has been a hardcore fan of Eito since late 2006 (yes~ my Eighter soul is old), this news feels like a fever dream. Having their songs re-released with all the different iterations of these songs with all the members (before Hiroki Uchi, Ryo Nishikido, and Subaru Shibutani left the group) is especially heartwarming to see – a precious gift to the fans of old. Like the final missing piece of a puzzle. Every voice and sound of Eito is embraced and cherished. A true celebration of their entire journey together over two decades, with no fan or member left behind.
Their 20th-anniversary landing this year feels like fate; breaking down the numerology of 2024 gives us – 2+0+2+4=“8”!
The year of eight is truly upon us, and it’s destined to be incredible. Kanjani8 has also promised us arena and dome tours this year as well as a year jam-packed with non-stop content! Eito is really giving us everything for their anniversary; the best of the best.
Their live tours never disappoint and always bring excitement, joy, and laughs with every concert they hold! If you ever get a chance to watch them live, take it! I’ve been lucky enough to watch them live many times over the years (including the 2008 Live Tour, the “8ssai Matsuri” event and their “Genki ga Deru LIVE 5-Dome Tour” to name a few), and they always surprise me with their creativity and passion for entertaining their fans. Every show offers something unique and fun – and unsurprisingly, this year’s tour promises to be something special and not to be missed!
Shingo Murakami, You Yokoyama, Ryuhei Maruyama, Shota Yasuda and Tadayoshi Ohkura all shine brightly with their music and their humour. I have been a proud Eighter for 18 years, so they all hold a very special place in my heart – but I still find myself especially inspired by them for this incredible milestone. They have been through a lot of ups and downs these past 20 years, but they never let the hardships they have faced together slow them down. They are Kanjani8; enduring and infinite.
I am beyond excited for what these talented men have in store for us in 2024. Thank you for 20 years of amazing music and the endless laughs and tears for everything in between! Here’s to Kanjani8‘s 20th anniversary – may it be their most memorable year yet!
