Ae! group’s inaugural solo documentary series, “BORDERLESS” – The Miracle Leading to Ae! group’s Debut, starts streaming exclusively on Netflix from May 14th, the day before their debut!
Rising superstar group Ae! group announced on their official X account a few days ago that they would reveal a big surprise on April 27th during a YouTube Livestream—leaving fans with a mysterious graphic that left everyone overthinking and trying to figure out what it meant.
Nobody could have figured this out, though.

The documentary series RIDE ON TIME (available on Netflix) has previously covered Ae! group through their episode on Kansai Juniors and the Kansai group. This time, it’s time for them to shine as the main act.
With their debut coming on May 15th with their song “《A》BEGINNING,” Ae! group‘s is packed with various things and jobs lined up. One notable thing is their debut tour, “AE! GROUP DEBUT TOUR THE WORLD’S BEST AELIVE“!

In the early spring of March 2024, the Kansai-born idol group Ae! group stood on the brink of their greatest achievement yet—their debut. As they took to the grand stage at the Kyocera Dome, Osaka, an air of excitement and anticipation filled the bustling venue, overflowing with over 100,000 devoted fans who had gathered over two days to witness this monumental moment in time.
The energy was palpable, buzzing through the air like a current, as the members announced their CD debut in their own words, their voices ringing out with determination and joy. It was a dream come true for these rising stars, a culmination of hard work and dedication that would propel them towards even greater success.
To commemorate the debut of Ae! group, their fellow Kansai Juniors, Naniwa Danshi, and King & Prince’s Ren Nagase joined their seniors from SUPER EIGHT backstage. They all offered words of support and congratulations to the group, who had faced numerous obstacles on their journey to this momentous day. This celebration was a fitting tribute to their hard work and determination.
The journey started back in 2018 when the Kansai Juniors, stuck in a state of stagnation, witnessed the rise of Naniwa Danshi as they gained more and more attention. This was before Ae! group had even formed—at that time, they were simply focused on being a band. Yet, the five members stood out with their individual personalities.
Yoshinori Masakado, the guitarist and center of the group, aimed for professional musician-level skills with his high aspirations. Ken Kojima, on keyboard, initially joined the agency reluctantly but found joy in comedy, even writing scripts for skits. Masaya Sano, the drummer, already a music elite, studied music seriously in high school and even performed on stage with the Shiki Theatre Company. Despite once giving up on the idol path, Richard Keita Kusama, on saxophone, returned to it to polish his dance and comedy skills. And lastly, Seiya Suezawa, their “other center,” wandered and struggled for a long time without finding a stage for his overwhelming singing and dancing abilities.
Their big break came when SUPER EIGHT’s Tadayoshi Ohkura and You Yokoyama, who were scouting and mentoring young talents in Kansai Juniors at the time, stepped in to support them. This resulted in the creation of Ae! group in February 2019.
But then 2020 arrived, bringing with it the COVID-19 pandemic that caused even more challenges for their journey. Just when their path to debut seemed within reach, members fell ill, and a crucial series of 15 concerts spanning nine days had to be canceled.
Despite these setbacks, they still forged strong connections through constant communication, often staying up late into the night discussing their dreams over the phone. And after five long years since their formation, they finally achieved their goal and took to the dome stage.

Ae! group is set to release their debut single on May 15th, and with a teaser already out, the excitement is soaring!
