SixTONES announced their 15th single called “BOYZ” which will be released on June 4th. The title track, “BOYZ”, is the theme song for the anime “WIND BREAKER Season 2″.
Also, to everyone’s surprise, they have announced new solo songs for the members!

To put it very simply, the music was composed by Koji Tamaki and the lyrics by Jesse. It was like a dream, and I am still so excited that I am just barely suppressing this feeling. I am filled with gratitude. My love for Koji Tamaki has reached the person who is like a god to me, and it has become a reality. I recorded this song while trying to hold back my tears, as it is filled with the melody lines of my favorite Koji Tamaki. The way you receive it may vary, but I would be happy if you could feel something.
TAIGA KYOMOTO
With the start of my own “creative project” I had a feeling that I would be able to find a different way to attract the audience with my solo songs as Taiga Kyomoto of SixTONES. This song, a dance tune, may come as a surprise to fans, but it was actually one of the genres I wanted to express as I also like to dance. It was inspired by a certain movie. I was only allowed to produce the original idea of the film, and I was committed to being a player in the production. Please enjoy the new Taiga Kyomoto of SixTONES.
HOKUTO MATSUMURA
“What’s the mood in your life right now?” When I try to answer such a question, I get more and more rambling and incoherent, like it’s all connected. That’s probably because my outer self and my inner self see the same things and speak different opinions. But the real intention of both of us was to somehow go to a distant, beautiful, shining future. A dialogue between the outer self and the inner self. Such a complex and endless masterpiece, like the universe, was created by my favorite artist, Masaki Suda. Please look forward to it.
YUGO KOCHI
Perhaps it is unique to the idol culture, but I think the talent and the fans who support the talent are similar. I thought, “Wouldn’t it be fun to write a song about that?” I hope to share the joys, sorrows, and happiness with the fans of SixTONES and those who support me through this song.
SHINTARO MORIMOTO
I have asked Dai Hirai to do it again this time. The previous song “Love is…” was “Love” and this time “Life is…” is “Life”. Peaceful melody and lyrics. I asked him to make it so that we could feel the goodness of Shintaro Morimoto. I am very happy to be able to deliver this to you as the second part of “Love is…”. When you listen to the song, you can imagine Shintaro singing with a smile on his face and singing in the sun. It is truly “THE Morimoto Shintaro”.
JURI TANAKA
I went into the production of this solo song with an insatiable desire to draw out new aspects of myself and still increase my strengths. I had a great music producer come to the studio and we worked on it with a lot of attention to detail. Recording the song was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life, but I think you will be able to feel a flavor that I have never been able to produce before.
The single will be available in three formats: First Press Limited Editions A and B (both CD+DVD) and a Regular Edition (CD only). The DVD included in First Press Limited Edition A will feature the music video (MV) of BOYZ along with behind-the-scenes footage from the jacket and MV shooting, and “Dance performance Only”
The DVD First Press Limited Edition B includes a documentary of the making of the album “GOLD” released in January this year.
