Following the recent announcement made by SixTONES during their celebration of their 10th naming anniversary, we will be posting a 10-day countdown to introduce some of the songs that will be available for streaming on 17th May 2025!
SixTONES released “NAVIGATOR” which was used as the opening theme song for the anime series “The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited”
Aside from a music video, the group also released a dance practice video of the full song.
We asked fans of SixTONES about their impression of the song, given that this was the first time the group released a song that was to be used for an anime opening theme:
“I was very excited that they were going to sing an anime OP! I remember thinking that they will finally be discovered by people all around the world. We didn’t know if it was really SixTONES singing when the first episode aired, so It was also very fun to get hyped up and investigate like detectives with team SixTONES on twitter😆 My first impression of the song was that they all sound very cool and it sounds like a legit anime song! I was also glad that they’ll still be doing cool and pop kind of music after Imitation Rain.” 💎 anika22622
“I was excited. I thought it was a great opportunity for them to be known by a wider audience. I love NAVIGATOR a lot, especially the way they use the strings in the song to give it a more dramatic feeling 👌 the MV is really good as well. All of it is such a cool concept. “I remember being so excited for SixTONES’ second single and wondering how their next song would sound after their debut with Imitation Rain. When the song was revealed, I loved everything about it, from the lyrics, the music video, the rap part, and the choreography, to how perfectly it fit as the opening for Fugou Keiji: Balance: Unlimited.
It was thanks to SixTONES that I started watching the anime, and since it was during the covid lockdown period, I looked forward to a new episode every week, and with it, another chance to hear SixTONES’ new song.
