SixTONES’ record-breaking “MILESixTONES” arena tour is coming to DVD & Blu-ray, giving fans the chance to relive the group’s first arena tour in approximately three years.
Titled after the group’s best-of album “MILESixTONES -Best Tracks-,” “MILESixTONES” was SixTONES’ arena tour held from January through June this year, covering a record-high 11 cities and 50 shows. The release features footage from the second day of the group’s March 26 performance at Yokohama Arena.
Dumpling Box wrote a detailed live report of the show in Yokohama Arena, which you can read here.
SixTONES’ first arena tour in approximately three years featured performances designed to ensure that no one in the venue was left out. Taking inspiration from the “Six” in “SixTONES” and the group’s sixth anniversary, the members moved throughout the entire venue, from the arena floor to the stands, aboard the giant moving stage “Mother 6,” shaped like the number “6,” and the trolley-style carts “Baby 6,” sending the crowd into a frenzy.
The setlist spanned the group’s debut single “Imitation Rain,” as well as their latest double A-side singles at the time of the tour, “Ichibyo” and “Rebellion.” They also performed “Amazing!!!!!!,” a song from their Junior days, along with cover songs originally performed by senior groups. Through these performances, the tour brought to life the “trajectory” from their debut to the present, as well as the “signposts” pointing toward the future, both of which are embodied in the tour’s title. The live release offers fans a chance to fully enjoy SixTONES’ journey so far and what lies ahead, making it an essential addition to any fan’s collection.
The [First Press Edition] includes MC highlights from every show, spanning from the first day of the Fukuoka performances at Marine Messe Fukuoka Hall A, where the arena tour kicked off, through the tour finale at Okinawa Sun Arena. It also includes all eight commercials that were played at the venues before the shows, as well as the complete “StonuI Plushie Advice Corner” segment from the main concert, which attracted attention for featuring voice-overs by the members.
The 【Regular Edition】 includes four songs performed as venue-specific tracks at the Aichi, Kagawa, Hokkaido, and Okinawa shows. It also features the 125-minute tour documentary “Documentary of ‘MILESixTONES,’” which follows SixTONES’ journey as they prepared for and took on the arena tour, from planning meetings through the dress rehearsal and beyond.
