SkyShowtime has just unveiled an electrifying revelation! Brace yourselves for the social-technological crime-thriller series Concordia, as it makes its exclusive debut on SkyShowtime starting from 23 May. Get ready for a thrill ride, as two new episodes will be released every Thursday.
The big announcement came straight from the heart of SkyShowtime, with Chief Content Officer Kai Finke dropping the news during a riveting panel discussion at the prestigious industry event MIPTV x Cannes Series Connection. Dive into the world of Concordia and buckle up for an exhilarating journey!
Concordia will be a six-part series starring our beloved Kento Nakajima, making it his first big overseas drama production.
In an interview with Swedish-Japanese Performers Association, Kento says, “I pushed myself to do well with the English script and hope that this experience allows people to know about actors from Japan and maybe even to become interested in other Japanese films and TV dramas I’ve been in.“
As someone who has diligently been starring in various dramas over his career, Concordia marks a big milestone for him, and it is surely set to become a success worldwide. He’s played various characters throughout the years in various genres and styles. When asked about the similarities between him and his character in Concordia, he answered the following: “I think A.J. and I have some similarities, perhaps more than anything in how both of us are perfectionists. I want to do everything perfectly, but of course, some things don’t go quite as perfect and when such happens, I can have very human reactions to it. On the other hand, there are other aspects in which I think we are the exact opposite; for example, I would like to think I’m not as arrogant in real life, nor as scarily ruthless as he is.”
It will be more than interesting to see how A.J. is portrayed and how this role differs from the Japanese roles we’re used to seeing him as. The coming weeks will be filled with suspense and excitement as we are finally able to dive into the world of Concordia.
