Aurealis: Naniwa no Hi Celestial Celebration in Manila, Philippines

Filipino Nanifams (Naniwa Danshi Fans) celebrates Naniwa no Hi (なにわの日)  for the 4th year with +Alpha concert viewing, gacha, and more last August 2, 2025 at Director’s Cafe, Manila.

Stars align with this year’s astral theme as a nod to Naniwa Danshi’s recent concert DVD release of +Alpha. The term “Aurealis” was from the Latin word “aureus” that means “golden”, and a combined word play from “Naniwa Aurora” from what Naniwa Danshi member, Kento Nagao, named their sparkly galaxy theme outfit and “Aurora Astralis” meaning Southern Lights. The organizers explained that as Naniwa Danshi is our northern star, they are the southern lights — or South East Asia for this matter — aiming a golden experience for Nanifams.

The event started with drinks and food, and gacha rolls with prize ranging from ID pictures, previous event merch, to official merch. It instantly became a hit for all the attendees who enjoyed having the surprises. The fans also participated in doing oshikatsu, filling the whole table with Naniwa Danshi nui and Sanrio collab nuis. Guest nuis like Masaya Sano from Ae! group also made an appearance in their oshikatsu table.

The cafe’s theater was instantly filled with starry decorations like the cloth background, fairy lights, and lanterns around the venue. The lights were dimmed down as the concert started, making the venue even celestial-like.

The fans brimmed with excitement and in true Filipino fashion, they sang (and danced) along the set list. The MC part arrives, and the theater resonates with the sounds of laughter and occasional squeals with Naniwa Danshi’s CM and drama VCR. Included in the concert DVD is Naniwa Danshi’s YouTube Live announcement about their Asia tour. Despite it being a replay, PH Nanifams still did a great job on reacting well to the exciting news.

The concerts continues and the fans’ energy continues to grow, most especially when Naniwa Danshi sings their debut song “Ubu Love” (初心LOVE) and other iconic songs such as “Special Kiss” and “Happy Surprise”.

Everyone was a bit emotional as the concert was nearing its end. Like a shooting star fulfilling someone’s wishes, one of the fans who went to see the group’s concert during their Asia stops, threw the photo confetti at the same timing and gave it away, making everyone’s concert experience more magical and realistic as they happily receive a copy of it.

After the concert ended, several fans even donated official merch to be raffled amongst the attendees. Everyone connected well that even after the event has ended, some stayed at the cafe area to chat more with their fellow Nanifams.

Aside from the great gacha prizes, the event also had their event freebies. Packed in a mesh bag with printed stars, the kit contains their ticket, two photocards of their oshi of choice, a Doki-It sticker set, and a photostrip with Naniwa Danshi’s +Alpha in Seoul photos.

Despite the event’s change of schedule due to the recent typhoons, PH Nanifams’ love for Naniwa Danshi really shines brightly no matter what time of the year it might be.
