The cast of the drama CD for Kis-My-Ft2’s Toshiya Miyata’s upcoming light novel sequel Kyoukai no Melody 2 (11/25 release) was announced on August 15!
The three-piece band, having flown all the way to London to rebuild their career, have a new set of faces that would bring life to their journey.
Yuma Uchida will be taking on the role of Takeshi, the guitarist and vocalist of Some Liar. When he loses the direction which the band is going for, he “meets” Kai to find the way forward.
Yuma Uchida’s comment:
I am very honored to be part of Kyoukai no Melody.
We had lots of fun conversations for the drama CD, and the recording had a harmonious atmosphere too. I hope you enjoy the exchange between Kanitama and Some Liars!
Joining him is Shunsuke Takeuchi, voicing Makoto, the drummer of Some Liar. He is Takeshi’s childhood friend who has a scary facade, but likes cute things.
Shunsuke Takeuchi’s comment:

Souma Saito will be playing the final member, Minoru, Makoto’s younger brother. He is known as the androgynous beauty and has a healing presence in Some Liars.

I am very happy to be involved as a cast member in a work I have read before.
The recording of the drama CD was fun and the atmosphere was peaceful, so I’m looking forward to the final version.
This team made me want to dream even more, and it was a wonderful cast.

Kent Ito and Daisuke Sakuma (Snow Man) will be reprising their roles of Kyousuke Tsurumaki and Kai Amano of Kanitama, respectively. Additionally, author Toshiya Miyata will continue as the narrator. The drama CD will include a collaboration track between Kanitama and Some Liars.
Kent Ito’s comment:
It’s the second volume! Number 2!! Who would’ve thought that we’d get to continue, we’d get to meet Kyousuke and Kai again, I’d get to appear, and our friends would multiply!!
With this, my joy overflows.
It was very fun being able to see Kyousuke’s light-hearted side, but also seeing a new and exciting side of him.
I would be glad if you could continue looking forward to it!
Daisuke Sakuma’s comment:
The first volume was wonderfully interesting, really good and I wanted to see more, I felt these things as a fan when it was announced, “The sequel is finally here!”
It was really fun playing the role of Kai and playing out the different scenarios in the drama CD that showed the good relationships between the characters and making everyone smile and have a great time!
Toshiya Miyata’s comment:
I truly feel like this work is getting bigger with the number of friends increasing.
I was really moved by being able to hear voices in real life that I used to have only in my head.
Kyousuke, Kai, Takeshi, Makoto, and Minoru are here. I feel that they are near. The recording venue was really fun.
I would be happy if everyone could listen to it.
