King & Prince‘s Ren Nagase and Kaito Takahashi appeared at the lighting ceremony for the “MARUNOUCHI BRIGHT HOLIDAY 2025 Disney JOYFUL MOMENTS Celebration Tree <Mickey & Friends>” held at Marunouchi Building in Tokyo on the 13th.

This year, Mickey‘s new official theme song, “What We Got ~Kiseki wa Kimi to~” / What We Got 〜奇跡はきみと〜was released, along with Mickey‘s best friends, King & Prince. The two of them harmoniously pressed buttons to light up the Mickey & Friends monument and the golden tree, filling the area with a strong Christmas atmosphere!

This summer, Mickey Mouse made an appearance at a concert in Tokyo Dome. “I was so happy, still can’t believe it wasn’t a dream. The fans’ reaction was incredible. He’s a superstar known worldwide, I hope he comes back again” Ren declared affectionately. Yet, hearing the fans’ cheers, he also admitted: “I do get a bit jealous“. Kaito also comented: “It’s no exaggeration to say I grew up with Mickey from the moment I became aware of things. I was deeply moved that he would perform alongside us to our own songs. No matter how many times I were reborn, nothing would be the same. It was the moment I thought, “This life is truly the best”“.
Ren nodded, saying, “I’ll probably still be bragging about this when I’m an old man.” and Kaito laughed and revealed with satisfaction “This past year, I spent the whole time with Mickey, and he even joined me on stage for events like this… It’s truly been a happy year“.
From 13 November to 4 January 2026, the Marunouchi area, encompassing Otemachi, Marunouchi and Yurakucho, will host the “MARUNOUCHI BRIGHT HOLIDAY 2025 “Disney JOYFUL MOMENTS”” holiday event. Themed around special moments from Disney stories filled with joy, excitement and happiness, the event will share the warmth and wonder of the winter season. The event will feature a variety of activities, including illuminations, performances, and special events.
Ren remarked, “The Marunouchi area is both private and professional for me,” revealing his admiration: “It’s a town that makes you feel grown-up, with the Imperial Palace nearby and its sophisticated streetscape.” Kaito also smiled, adding, “When I was performing on stage, the theatre was close by. After the show ended, I’d pop over for dinner or shopping. Since it’s near where I spent my youth, it’s a place I’d like to visit even if I have to stretch myself a bit.“
Then they were both asked about their Christmas plans, Ren expressed his enthusiasm: “With such a splendid monument on display, I simply must come with Mickey. I’ll have my schedule adjusted… I want to see it properly, in a calm and settled state.” He then invited his colleague and friend Kaito, his imagination running wild: “Afterwards, it’s dinner while admiring the beautiful night view, right? Will you come?“

“Together? Absolutely!” exclaimed a delighted Kaito. “I’ve often spent Christmas with King & Prince. I’m truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to work. But seeing such a large monument after so long reminded me of the illuminations I saw with my family when I was little. It made me excited to come here with my own family. I’ll be coming with Ren, Mickey, and my family.“
Finally Ren also outlined his ideal plan: “We exchange presents every year, so we’d like Mickey to join us for that gathering. It would be fun to pick out presents in Marunouchi. They have all sorts of things there, so we could take our time browsing.“
