Disney+ unveiled its upcoming Asia-Pacific originals lineup at a presentation held on November 13 at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel โ and among the new titles was a surprise announcement that sent Travis Japan fans buzzing.
The group will star in a brand-new travel documentary, โTravis Japan Summer Vacation in the USA,โ (Travis Japan Summer Vacation!! โ7ไบบใฎใขใกใชใซๆ โ) set to stream exclusively on Disney+ in the first half of 2026. A first-look visual and a short comment video were released alongside the news.
The project follows all seven members โ Kaito โChakaโ Miyachika, Kaito โUmiโ Nakamura, Ryuya โShimeโ Shimekake, Noel Kawashima, Shizuya โShizuโ Yoshizawa, Genta Matsuda, and Kaito โMachuโ Matsukura โ as they embark on a 10-day summer journey across the United States. Based on an itinerary designed by Noel, who holds an official travel planner certification, the documentary revisits places deeply connected to the groupโs history. Through sweeping landscapes, local culture, and unscripted moments, the series promises an intimate look at their bond and individual growth.
For Travis Japan, America is more than a destination โ it is a turning point in their story. The group collectively relocated to Los Angeles in March 2022, later appearing on Americaโs Got Talent Season 17 that July. Their high-impact performances earned them a spot in the semifinals and introduced them to a global audience. That same year, they made their major-label debut with the worldwide digital release of โJUST DANCE!โ Since then, theyโve expanded their presence through world toursโTokyo, New York, and Bangkok, among others, for 2025โdramas, and variety programs, evolving steadily as international artists.
The newly unveiled visual captures the seven members relaxed and smiling against the backdrop of Route 66 โ the iconic road synonymous with the American Dream. Filmed immediately after their world tour, this trip becomes a reflective pause between milestones, offering glimpses into how each member processes the past few years and prepares for the next phase.

We’ve travelled a lot as Travis Japan, so we wanted to show our fans some of the memories we have overseas. The shoot was a perfect Summer Vacation, and a chance for us to relax and get to know each other too.
While shooting, we did a lot, but one highlight was learning about Native American jewellry, and that was really fun! We also got to see real American cowboys at a rodeo!
Thanks to Disney +, we got to see a new side of America, and share it with our fans in Japan and around the world. You’ll get to see how much more natural and at home than we are on stage! It’s very different than how we are as idols.
We hope even more people will learn about us from this show, and become new fans of Travis Japan!
