One thing that Kis-My-Ft2 is known for is their costumes that border more on the side of “fashion forward” than your typical idol costumes. The group announced last month that they would be holding a costume exhibition, and those details have finally dropped!
“The Couture” will be held at Ikebukuro PARCO from April 24 to May 25. The exhibition will be split into two different terms, each featuring 24 nostalgic costumes. In addition to the costumes themselves, some of the members’ personal accessories along with previously unreleased design documents (most likely sketches) and photos will be on display.
In conjunction with the exhibition, the group will also be releasing a new digital single, “Couture,” on May 26. Guests who visit the exhibition before its release will be able to listen to the song as they make their way around the displays before it officially drops on all streaming platforms.
For fans who are not based in Tokyo, the exhibition will be making its way to five other cities across Japan. However, the traveling exhibitions will be limited to the 24 costumes in either term A or term B.
Guests who walk through those exhibition doors will be handed a commemorative card with printed messages from each of the members! (Each venue will have a different member color!)
There will also be special commemorative goods on sale, including costume keychains! Fans are going to need to test their luck with these blind pulls, so may the odds forever be in your favor.
