Ae! group to Release “DEKOBOKO LIFE” on June 17, Theme Song for Osomatsu-san Film

Ae! group will release their fourth single, “DEKOBOKO LIFE” (でこぼこライフ), on June 17, just days after the premiere of their starring film Osomatsu-san: Humanity Degeneration Project!!!!!? (おそ松さん 人類クズ化計画!!!!!?) on June 12. The song serves as the film’s theme, but more than that, it feels like a manifesto—messy, loud, and unapologetically human.

From the very first note, “DEKOBOKO LIFE” bursts forward with the kind of band sound that has become inseparable from Ae! group’s identity. It doesn’t try to smooth out the edges—instead, it celebrates them. Lyrics like “Take the long way around, that’s alright ♥,” “This is good enough!” and “Don’t worry, boys / Don’t worry, girls” land less like lines in a song and more like words you didn’t know you needed to hear. It’s a track that doesn’t just cheer you on—it runs beside you, laughing breathlessly, telling you it’s okay to stumble.

There’s a wildness to its structure, an almost overwhelming rush that mirrors the unpredictability of life itself. And yet, that’s where its magic lies. The song doesn’t promise perfection. It promises movement something that mirrors their second album Runway.

“DEKOBOKO LIFE” will be released in five editions: Limited Editions A, B, and C, a regular edition, and a special Osomatsu-san version featuring a newly illustrated anime jacket. It’s a lineup that feels almost like a celebration in itself—multiple ways to experience the same heartbeat.
