Just two days after the MV premiere, Ae! group drops the Dance Version of their up-coming second single “Gotta Be” and just like the MV, it’s packed with their explosive and distinct personalities!
In the Dance Version, we get to fully immerse ourselves in the aggressive choreography, featuring rapid shifts in formations. Notably, shoji from the dance crew s**t kingz, who was also responsible for the choreography of their debut single “《A》BEGINNING,” has once again lent his expertise. He meticulously crafted the moves to ensure each member shone individually throughout the performance.
The simplicity of the MV staging and background enhances the choreography that the boys deliver to us. It is dynamic and expressive, just like the song itself. It’s refreshing to see them dance their hearts out when their image for some is their band setup, and gives them another weapon to use as they move forward.
During the first performance of “Gotta Be” at Ariake Arena on August 18th, the whole venue could be seen waving their penlights eagerly to the beat of the new uplifting anthem.
Their individuality really shone through as they performed, and the immense pride welled up within you as the performance reverberated. Where “《A》BEGINNING” represents the statement of “we finally did it” for Ae! group, “Gotta Be” represents the starting point of “this is our story now.”
Ae! group continues to resonate with each new release and this is just the starting point.
