How are you preparing for the nationwide tour?

I did everything I could come up with in preparation for this tour. I reflected on mistakes from the past and realized that I must communicate more with the staff to make sure that there aren’t any misunderstandings. Also, because this is a nationwide tour there are many shows, so I hold a review meeting after each show to brush it up even more and make it even better for the next show. I think that’s what doing a nationwide tour is about.

What message do you hope to convey through your music and performances?

I have 9 original songs which I wrote by myself so I put a lot of meaning in each and every one of them. So all songs hold special meanings to me. There are expressions that could be conveyed exactly because they are songs that I wrote by myself to express myself so I hope people will remember them.

Could you tell us a little about the costumes you’re wearing for the tour?

All of the costumes were designed by me together with the costume designer. We discussed the designs between us while deciding how to make them. The coat was created based on the image of a prince. A sparkling prince. And it was made to look good when wearing it standing on stage.

We made it so that when the fabric moves it makes it look like the costume dances beautifully. The jacket too, we made it asymmetrical to give more depth to it.

The point I was most careful about was to make a costume that would shine when standing on stage, but at the same time doesn’t shine too much in a way that would overshadow anything else, and rather wanted it to become a costume that would make the person who wears it stand out. I wanted to make it look classy.

About the goods, do you have a favorite item, and why?

My goods are self-produced as well and since I produced them by myself I’m very attached to all of them and love each and every one of them, but if I have to choose there are two that I like especially.

The T-shirt and the ring light. I like them a lot. I designed the T-shirt myself. There are a lot of hidden messages in the design. I’m sure that people who bought it noticed them. So I hope everyone will check the T-shirt fully and find all of the hidden messages.

Regarding the ring light, surprisingly there aren’t many people who seem to use ring lights but I think that it’s really cute. It can also be fun playing with which finger to put it on as well. I think it can be a very enjoyable merch.

Is there anything you look forward to doing while being on tour?

The audience’s reaction. I look forward to seeing everyone’s reactions to this production. The reactions I get are completely different in each venue too.

There is also the matter that everyone comes without knowing any of the songs beforehand which makes the show the first time for everyone to get exposed to the songs and listen to them so it’s hard to predict how the audience will react.

The way the audience hype up is different in each venue as well, so it’s really interesting and fun. So that’s what I’m looking forward to the most at the moment.

Can you share some funny memories from rehearsals?

I generally remember dance steps really fast and it got to the point that the instructor who taught me told me to wait a bit with it. I ended up learning and remembering everything they prepared for the choreography up to that point and they didn’t have the next steps ready yet to teach me so they were troubled (laugh).
