Lil Kansai’s Kotaro Okazaki joins the cast as “Hiroto Sakura” in the NHK Drama “Vietnam no Hibiki” (ベトナムのひびき / Tiếng Vang Việt Nam) [Literal Translation: Sound of Vietnam).
The drama “Vietnam no Hibiki” commemorates the 50th year anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between Japan and Vietnam. The story revolves around the Japanese conductor, Kazuo Sakura (played by Gaku Hamada), who takes the lead when the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra faces a crisis of survival. A concerto of emotion and friendship, this drama depicts a love for music that transcends nationality and status, as well as a family-like bond.

Hiroto is the only son of Kazuo Sakura. Although he was strongly drawn to music by watching his father, he is hesitant to pursue it after seeing his mother, Miyako Sakura (played by MEGUMI), struggle with it.
“Vietnam no Hibiki” is a one-episode drama that would run for two hours. It will be airing on March 2, 2024, at 7 PM JST on NHK BS Premium and on NHK BS on March 17, 2024, at 10 PM JST.
