SixTONES announced their 13th single called “GONG/ここに帰ってきて” (“GONG/ Koko ni Kaettekite”), which will be released on July 10th.
GONG is the insert song of NTV’s drama, “ACMA:GAME,” in which one of the group’s members, Juri Tanaka, appears. The drama is currently being broadcast and is also available in selected countries on Prime Video, as explained here.
Koko ni Kaettekite is the theme song of the movie “Ienai Himitsu“/”Secret: A Hidden Score,” starring Taiga Kyomoto. The movie will be released in cinemas in Japan on June 28th, but before that, it will be shown at the 24th Nippon Connection Film Festival.
The single will be available in three formats: First Press Limited Editions A and B (both CD+DVD) and a Regular Edition (CD only). The DVD included in First Press Limited Edition A will feature the music video (MV) of GONG, along with solo movies and behind-the-scenes footage from the jacket and MV shooting, and the performances of Outrageous and ~ ABARERO -Dark Electro Rock Remix- from their tour “VVS” at Kyocera Dome Osaka.
The DVD First Press Limited Edition B will feature the same content as Edition A but with the other title track, Koko ni Kaette kite, and the performances of Kimi ga Inai and Alright from their tour “VVS” at Kyocera Dome Osaka.

As part of the promotion, they released Koko ni Kaette kite’s MV without any prior notice, and without the single being announced, so it was a nice surprise for the fans!
It’s a core love song about saying goodbye to a loved one, regretting the time spent but trying to move on with great love and gratitude.
This is the first SixTONES music video to be shot entirely on film, and the result is an ethereal, simple space with a white base, but with a warmth that is somehow palpable. The members just sing straight through to the sound of the piano and strings. They once again demonstrate one of their strong points: their voices.
Enjoy watching the six members express their feelings in six different ways!
The day after the music video was released, the song was used for the trailer of the movie “Ienai Himitsu,“ which you can watch here with English subtitles.

From the time we were recording the song, I knew it would go well with the movie.
The director and producer also contacted me beforehand and said, ‘It’s going to be really good when we set it to the ending of the movie, so stay tuned.’
When the song was actually played at the end of the preview screening, I cried a lot. I hope that more people will watch the movie with this song. I think it’s a very moving song that looks great live as a stand-alone song.
