Kaito had the opportunity to visit the Italian showroom and observe the production process in February and was delighted. He commented: “I felt the craftsmanship of Etro’s staff, the precision and soul that goes into the creation of the products, so much so that I thought “I wish these pieces would come to Japan”. I would love to have items like these in my home. I’m happy to have this opportunity“.
Furthermore, after being welcomed by Cardinali as a member of the “family”, he commented: “I have been inspired by the culture and creative philosophy of Etro. I participated in the capsule collection because I wanted to convey the spirit of Etro in high resolution and I am really happy to be considered “family” after this great success. I feel like I want to enjoy presenting good things to everyone“.

This was his first meeting with Cardinali since his appointment as global brand ambassador. Cardinali added: “While you are a celebrity and a star in Japan, you are also a wonderful person for being honest and straightforward. You are part of the family because we have known another side of you than just being a celebrity. I’m glad to be here with you today, and I wish we could meet more not only in Japan, but also in other places” he smiled at Kaito.
“Thank you very much for your kind words, my main job is to be an idol, but I also feel like a worker at ETRO. I try to study the brand in depth on a regular basis and make sure to spread its strength. I also love to create things, so I can use that skill together with Etro” answered Kaito optimistically.
As the event took place in a showroom surrounded by Etro home fabrics, he was also asked about the interior design values he appreciates most in his daily life: “Japan is full of neutral colours. That’s good, but I also love colour. I really like the colours that Etro uses because you can create a vision of the world in your own room using only what you really like. So before I do anything else, since my room is the first thing I see when I wake up, I enrich my mind with colour before I go out on the town or to work, I always try to incorporate colour into my life!“.
Cardinali agreed: “Japan has a lot of relatively subdued colours, it’s a wonderful harmony that Kaito, who is part of the Japanese culture, manages to incorporate the appeal of colour into the interiors“.
When Kaito was asked which item he was particularly interested in, he pointed to a side table and replied: “This one. The Arnica print, Etro’s signature design, has a very strong energy. It’s a luxury to be able to have it in your home decor. I’m sure it would evoke all kinds of feelings in me. I would like to have some items made with this Arnica fabric in my home“. Cardinarli, hearing his wish for an item with a delicate print, replied: “You should definitely get one!”
