“WAKE UP THE FOOL”
The group revealed the meaning behind the name of the tour during a YouTube livestream on the official Junior CHANNEL, also published on July 7th. Member Soya Igari explained:
“‘THE FOOL’ is the Fool tarot card – it may be the weakest card, but that means it can become anything. In a way, it’s the strongest. That’s where we are now: nothing yet, but capable of everything. We might be fools, but let’s go for it.”
Meanwhile, Reia Nakamura, who designed the tour logo, shared:
“I incorporated our five silhouettes into the design, sampling the Fool tarot motif. It reflects our desire to ramp up the energy together with fans—those supporting us now and those who’ll join us.”
In the lead-up to the announcement, KEY TO LIT hosted a playful cryptic “key and postcode” puzzle over June and early July over the official Junior social media channels. Members posted across Instagram, X, and TikTok, culminating in the tour reveal during the Tanabata (July 7) stream.
Although this marks their first full-scale arena run, the group has been actively teasing rehearsals and behind-the-scenes glimpses on their abovementioned social channels since its inception, showcasing choreography snippets, vocal run-throughs, and member banter.
“WAKE UP THE FOOL” is not just KEY TO LIT‘s arena tour debut—it’s a carefully themed journey reflecting their transition from students to major-league contenders. With nearly 20 shows across big venues, heartfelt tarot-inspired symbolism, and an interactive fan-focused rollout, the tour sets the stage for KEY TO LIT to shine in late-2025.

ABOUT KEY TO LIT

KEY TO LIT (pronounced “Ki-te-retsu”) is a fresh-faced, five-member idol group formed by STARTO Entertainment on February 16, 2025, emerging from a major shuffle of their Junior division. Its members, Taisho Iwasaki, Mizuki Inoue, Reia Nakamura, Soya Igari, and Taiko Sasaki, all come from previous, well-known Junior formations. The group’s name, “key to lit,” signals their ambition to unlock vibrant, illuminated performances and ignite excitement in audiences before they’ve even hit the stage.
Despite being a recently formed group, KEY TO LIT are already gaining traction through variety show appearances and magazine interviews. On April 10, Nakamura shared on TV Asahi’s late-night program “Azatokute Nani ga Warui no?” that adapting to the strict, respectful “sports-team atmosphere” at the agency was a challenge. He said, “At first, I wasn’t used to using keigo (formal speech)…but I thought, ‘it’s a good thing, so I’ll learn properly.'”
Meanwhile, when the group was first announced, they stated: “We may have a new name, but our passion remains the same. We want to brighten every stage we stand on and bring excitement to all who watch us. This is just the beginning, and we promise to keep reaching for greater heights.” In the behind‑the‑scenes message video, Igari acknowledged fans’ mixed feelings about the group reshuffle: “We understand how complex your feelings are…we see this as a positive,” echoing Nakamura‘s call for patience: “Take your time catching up, and once you’re ready, we hope you’ll support us again”
With their roots in established Junior history, message-driven optimism, and a clear schedule on the horizon, KEY TO LIT is positioning themselves as a bold new force in STARTO‘s idol world—ready to light up the stage and capture hearts across the entertainment industry.
