STARTO ENTERTAINMENT’s Junior group AmBitious enters the second half of their nationwide tour “AmBitious LIVE 2025 Hajimemashite Zenkoku Tour, AmBitious wo Yorushiku Onegaishassu” (AmBitious LIVE 2025 初めまして全国ツアー AmBitiousをよろしくお願いシャス) at Orix Theater, Osaka.

It’s been a year since their 1st nationwide tour “OdoROK! DANCE TOUR“, AmBitious took resiliency, growth, and creativity to the next level with this tour. The group encountered several member changes with the addition of former Boys be member Itsuki Yamanaka just before the beginning of the OdoROK! Dance Tour, and the graduation of members Gaku Kawashita and Taro Yoshikawa earlier this year. With a lot of things on their plate, they become more ambitious than ever, as heavily reflected on this tour.
Opening their show very strongly was a VCR of them dressed in white with hair streaks showing a striking resemblance to “new world” or other-worldly inspirations. Showing body and iris scans as the member’s name flashes one by one. The lights abruptly shine brightly at every beat, showing a silhouette of the boys striking a pose with their three-level stage set up that resembles the Babel tower.
Starting off strong with the group’s original song “RIDE” as they sang their lines, with some of them standing by the 2nd floor’s ladder. The dance break was beautifully done, and hitting the nail in the coffin for all of the fans was member Takeyuki Mayumi’s (referred to as Mayumi from here on) iconic “kiss-kiss-kill” line being done by member Leo Nagaoka at the very top of the three-leveled stage, catching everyone off guard.
The song ended and easily transitioned to Snow Man‘s“EMPIRE” and SixTONES‘ “NAVIGATOR”. The transition from these two songs almost sounded like one single song, with how seamless it was, and without a break. The members looked absolutely skilled, showing off their cool and mature charms with those two songs. If anything, AmBitious really have the knack of showing off their long legs through choreography with all the extensions and kicks.
Leo greeted the fans without a break as the intro of SixTONES‘ “ANTHEM” (アンセム) played. Another round of dance-heavy performances from them, the boys continued with their high-tension energy. The fans screamed loudly when two members had a face-off (staring intently at one another) and the music’s sudden break. The performance continued with a great high note from member Rikuto Ura (referred to as Urarin from here on). Fans sang in harmony along with the members during the “Ohhhh” parts as Leo continued to hype to crowd, screaming, “I missed you all!“.
The performance ended with high energy. The members continued the show with their introduction or call-and-response despite being visibly breathless from back-to-back performances. After one introduction, the member returned backstage, leaving only member Ichita Inoue.
Ichita climbed to the 2nd level of their stage with a DJ set, cutely playing on the LED screen. He began to interact with it through dance as he led the fans to another call-and-response situation where fans screamed, “AmBitious” and “Onegaishassu” (a cute way of saying ‘please’). After a few rounds of the C&R, the show’s logo appeared, drawing screams of excitement from fans.
Ichita definitely enjoyed the fans’ attention, making cute interactions with the fans by just clapping and stopping them, which the fans happily obliged. He began with a cracked “Are you ready!” that he had to redo, causing the fans’ laughter.
A retro-vibe hip-hop song played as Ichita took the center stage. A few moments later, Leo came out, standing on the 3rd level, dancing together mirror-like to Ichita, who was at the 2nd level. Their dance duet ended as Ichita returned backstage, giving Leo his solo dance time. He slid down to the 2nd floor — although a mild safety concern, it was clear that he had done it with confidence and safety. Leo continued his set as other members slowly entered to join him as well.

Mayumi began his spiel to hype the crowd as the intro of ARASHI‘s “Lucky Man” started in the background. Members Itsuki, Mayumi, and Leo performed the song with so much youth and freshness, showing the charms in all aspects. This was followed by the duet performance of member Yuri Oka (referred to as Okachan from here on) and Ichita of DOMOTO‘s “Back Fire”, showcasing another charm of the sainencho-sainensho duo (oldest and youngest). Another duet performance by Rion Ouchi and Urarin with DOMOTO‘s “Kiss Kara Hajimaru Mystery” (Kissからはじまるミステリー_ completed the first half of the retro segment, not just with songs but with the members’ outfits as well.
Intro of SMAP‘s “Hey Hey Ookini Maidoari” (Hey Hey おおきに毎度あり) began playing, and all of the members came out with cool poses and lights drawing their silhouettes perfectly. Each beat was another shot, and they set out wearing their jackets. One by one, the members were revealed, catching fans’ hearts. Mayumi was the last to be revealed with his bangs tied cutely in the middle and holding the huge iconic radio commonly used by SUPER EIGHT‘s Shingo Murakami.
Without a doubt, Murakami‘s “LOVE&KING” song played with Mayumi embodying his admired senior. Fans enthusiastically cheered Mayumi‘s performance. Just before the chorus rolled in, the music cut with Leo‘s “What were you doing?!”. In true Kanju fashion, there was a skit in the middle of the songs. Mayumi bantered with “Wasn’t it a KING corner?” with Leo answering “That’s not it!” clarifying the segment was ‘Street-corner‘ as they did street-dancing.
The segment suddenly turned into a dance battle with Ichita and Leo against him, in which Mayumi whined, asking for them to give him some slack as it was hard to battle against two of AmBitious‘ best dancers. The skit came to a close with the members removing their jackets again and Leo cueing the music.
The members returned to their positions as soon as the song started, looking cool with every pose and member reveal. Their performance of SMAP‘s “Hey Hey Ookini Maidoari” (Hey Hey おおきに毎度あり) really gave so much energy not only to their young fans but also to their older fans with the wave of nostalgia. What is an AmBitious song performance without the designated dance break? Highlighting the youngest trio: Leo, Ichita, and Itsuki. The song continued in the background as they asked the fans to join in the dance, teaching an easy and brief choreography. They even requested fans to put their penlights down so they could dance freely. The instructions were specific, with Ichita and Okachan leading the counting. Itsuki could also be seen with his back turned from the fans, so they could use him as a reference to copy. The performance ended with the fans happily dancing alongside the members.
The lights faded as another VTR played on the screen. The videos played with flashing cameras and a sparkling red carpet. Photos of the members in their black suits posed as if it were a true red carpet show. As the VTR played, the staff rolled down a true red carpet. It was truly an Oscar-worthy introduction, so to speak.
timelesz‘s “NOT FOUND” opened as the members sang from backstage while walking to the main stage. You couldn’t take your eyes off the screen as they showed their charm through the camera, moving around the stage and with the fans at their back as they continued with their performance. A podium was set on the right side of the stage, where they filed in as they sang their lines at the podium. Urarin and Itsuki sang back-to-back as they harmonized for this song. They stood on the steps that came out specifically for this red carpet performance as the staff moved them around the stage. Ichita was found filled with passion as he sang out the lyrics.
The light dimmed again, putting a spotlight on the mannequin sitting on the 3rd-level of the stage. timelesz’s “Honne to Tatemae” (本音と建前) started with a multi-level performance, giving a totally mature performance compared to the segment before it. The performance focused more on musicality and vocals, which kept you on the edge of your seat. SixTONES‘ “Mascara” (マスカラ) was performed after a brief dance break from them, finishing off their mature concept. Their voices were sweet like honey, especially towards the end when the music slowly faded.
This performance was followed by WEST.‘s “AWARD”. In their tie and suspenders, it really felt like it was an award show. If fans saw AmBitious sing and dance to their heart’s content, then it was definitely an award of the year for them. It could be noted that the members really took into consideration presenting more of what they could do vocally this time around.
The group officially introduced themselves as MC when the time began. They opened by thanking their fans for their attendance that day and checked with the fans per floor if they could see the members very clearly.
The segment passed by quickly with a lot of things going on. From Mayumi‘s hair troubles; Itsuki‘s kindness; up to Okachan‘s spilled honey drink backstage, for which Urarin and Rion apologized; it was both entertaining and engaging. What truly set the group apart from the others was their ability to catch your attention from start to finish and not get lost in the narrative they were having. They switched from one topic to another so smoothly that it gave off the feeling of sitting in class and listening to your classmates’ conversation. The theater was filled with laughter and endearment, both from members and fans.
Rock-paper-scissors play commenced with them choosing which members would go backstage first. After a brief round, the members returned backstage, leaving Mayumi, Okachan, and Ichita to entertain the fans. All of a sudden, they decided to do a gag performance, drawing inspiration from earlier conversations. The remaining members, Urarin, Rion, Itsuki, and Leo, returned to the main stage in their sparkly menkara costumes — cutting the gag joke short with Urarin‘s insert, which caused another wave of laughter.

Their prince-like appearance caught them in conversation about the ToshiKare stage play (shortened from Toshihita Kareshi). A total stray from the gag corner, the group went down a heart-fluttering path. Urarin led the whole doki-doki [heart-fluttering] segment by back hugging Itsuki and whispering a sweet confession, which caused gasps and squeals from fans. Rion followed with Leo, standing face-to-face with a short and direct confession. After the short skit, Leo confessed that he almost fell in love with Rion. Itsuki proposed his own skit with Leo as well, giving specific instructions. The cute scenario suddenly became a gag skit with the two of them together.
The other members bore witness to the whole segment, which they equally enjoyed. They moved on to prepare for the next performance when a voice suddenly stopped them in their tracks. The staff rolled in a huge telephone booth that equally “surprised” AmBitious. The unknown voice explained that it was a wishing booth, which Okachan repeated the explanation in a cute manner — twice.
A unique spin for the show, this segment called for the members to use the telephone booth and tell the phone the performance they wished to do. The members entered the booth one by one, expressing their dream stages with a wide variety of songs. Genuinely on the side of luck, the song changed every show they went to.
Starting with Mayumi, wishing he could do SUPER EIGHT‘s “Sekirara” (赤裸々); Ichita with KAT-TUN‘s “Real Face”; Leo with Kis-My-Ft2‘s “Unmei Girl” (運命Girl), followed by a comment on how much he liked the group; Rion with SHONENTAI’s “Kimi Dake ni” (君だけに); Urarin with King & Prince‘s “Cinderella Girl” (シンデレラガール); Itsuki with WEST.‘s “Something New” (サムシング・ニュー); and Okachan with WEST.‘s “Ai no Dorei” (愛の奴隷).
The voice spoke out again, leaving the members to decide amongst themselves which song they should perform. The staff rolled out a roulette with the members’ characters and colors. Fans were on the edge of their seats as the roulette spun, stopping at Ichita‘s character. The members prepared as the lights softened, and Ichita sang the first line of KAT-TUN‘s “Real Face”, fully being the song’s center and doing the killing part just before the chorus. The performance ended with Ichita‘s cheerful shout of victory.
The group huddled together for the next performance, which was cut off again with Itsuki saying “Thank you for waiting,” funnily, catching fits of laughter. Leo covered in, saying they should all do it together, giving another gag. They rushed over to the telephone booth, “What if AmBitious could color everyone’s daily lives?“. Ae! group’s “Colorful Days” played as the members went around the stage and interacted with the stage props.
The lights once again dimmed down with the sound of falling rain. Okachan appeared on stage wearing a white buttoned-down shirt and holding an umbrella. A keyboard was visible on stage as Rion approached it. After a few seconds of silence, Rion began to play King & Prince‘s “halfmoon”. The members made use of the umbrella, passing it around as they sang their lines, with Okachan doing a contemporary dance, trying to catch the umbrella.
The song was followed by V6‘s “Kimi ga Omoidasu Boku wa Kimi wo Aishiteiru Darou ka” (君が思い出す僕はこの君を愛しているだろうか). The song lyrics resonated with the recent events, most especially with Okachan being the closest to the graduated members. It felt like a form of letter, “Please listen to my last selfish request“.
Up until the last moment, it was only the members singing both songs. Okachan closed the song with its final lines as he lay down on stage. His dance performance alone gave so much raw emotion with a strong message. It was truly a moving ballad and contemporary performance that garnered applause from the fans.
WEST.‘s “Moonlight” (ムーンライト) started with the members slowly picking and helping Okachan up. They all wore sparkly rainbow jackets, passing them to their now eldest member. The stage lit up with bright colors and was full of life as the staff rushed in cutely and danced to clear the stage props aside. Okachan gave inspiring messages, saying how grateful he was to have all six members alongside him. It was truly at that moment that AmBitious‘ resolve to continue as a 7-member group solidified. The performances continued with Ae! Group‘s “Aa!!!!!!” and SUPER EIGHT‘s “Gamushara Koushinkyoku” (がむしゃら行進曲).
The VCR, seemingly a continuation of the opening, played for the fans. The quotes were all written in English as they showed AmBitious‘ aim to “catch the divine while captivating people” and for greater heights. It was truly a culmination of everything they had worked hard for so far, a closure of the past, and a promise to the future, as their first original song, “Reach for the sky,” played.
The group continued to run with so much passion and motivation as they sang out the words that best described their goals. Moving to the center stage, their second original song, “RIDE” again showed off their cool aura. The song ended with a visibly loud breathing, showing they fully exerted themselves. The heart beated as the words “new song” emerged from the screen.
AmBitious performed in their purple and black costumes styled with laces and sparkles. Their song “TANBI” (耽美 -TANBI-) expressed such a melancholic and bittersweet love song. It gave off a different vibe than their older songs, showing the range of what they could do musically. The choreography also embodied how beautiful the song was with their graceful and flowy moves. The stage darkened as the words “Fate begins with Seven” on the screen concluded the whole “AmBitious” set.
After a few minutes, the fans started chanting their name in unison and in claps. The group came out in their tour shirts, with Ichita instantly thanking everyone for the cheers. Itsuki was noticeably wearing the octopus head dress. Naniwa Danshi‘s “Happy Surprise” (ハッピーサプライズ) excitedly opened the encore. Followed by WEST.‘s “Mixed Juice“, making the whole theater’s energy go higher and higher. Fans were equally jumping as the members, ending the performance with Mayumi singing the closing line in such vocal greatness. They ended the encore with Kansai Junior‘s very own “Kansai Island”. This song gave a lot of opportunity for AmBitious and fans to interact more.
They filled the whole venue with love, sending hearts in every variation, Mayumi giving air hugs, and Okachan playing on the right and left ends of the stage, waving to everyone up to the 3rd floor. They paid so much attention and love to the fans and pointed at them in confirmation that they were the recipients of the fan service. The group gave their ending speeches filled with gratitude and excitement as if they were just starting this show again.
They concluded the 2-hour live show with AmBitious off-mic, along with fans, screaming “We are AmBitious” in unison. They began exiting the stage, happily waving to all of their fans for the last time, with Mayumi sending a final flying kiss that earned screams from everyone.
AmBitious really lived up to their name, showing how resilient and ambitious they are both as a group and as individuals. Through their live show, they showcased not only their amazing dancing skills but also their honey-like vocals, entertaining personalities, and their adaptability to whatever came their way. The setlist had a clear classification and truly delivered their intentions of clear storytelling. Their natural charm and positive energy drew a lot of people, not just fans, but also those who worked with them. They truly are a group worth looking out for.
