Explore the Vibrant Energies of Naniwa Danshi's "Doki it"

Naniwa Danshi is back with a new single and as always they have something fun in their bag! Naniwa Danshi’s 8th single “Doki it“ pairs rock with their rather funky tunes and ever so infectious energy! The boys are always challenging themselves with various genres and this time it’s rock with a pop of color!

Naniwa Danshi never fails to display a range of bright and vibrant colors in their music! Just 7 funky boys and their funky tunes in funky colors. “Doki it” is a song about celebrating and loving yourself presented in the most Naniwa Danshi-esque way possible. The lyrics really speak for itself with their ever so bright and cheerful words.

This song is truly Naniwa Danshi’s cheer for you. A song so energetic that will have you dancing in your seat. With spring, the season of new beginnings approaching, this is the perfect song to kick start your day!

The music video is exceptionally colorful and vibrant but not overpowering. The use of colors and different hues to show various moods and emotions ranging from a bright sunny day to a warm and cozy afternoon is really pleasant to watch.

There is also an interesting use of their member colors in the MV where each member gets a set up made of mostly their member color but it’s not too bold. It’s a subtle addition that is really pleasing to see. The last time Naniwa Danshi incorporated member colors into their music video like this was during “NANIWA’n WAY.”

They also follow a storyline in this music video which you don’t get to see often in Naniwa Danshi’s music videos. Here you can see the boys packing things to move out and throughout the MV they look back at their time together. You’d often see such a plot in music videos of rather sad songs, but Naniwa Danshi presents this as a new beginning where everyone has developed and accepted their own colors and is now ready to give the world back those colors by themselves.

Watch the music video for a full experience of a song that will drag you into a colorful world!

Last but not the least, the costumes! Although the fans were taken aback by the costumes at first but in Nagao Kento we trust! The youngest member, Nagao, was in charge of curating the perfect set of outfits for the members and as always he served. The mismatched brightly colored outfits describe Naniwa Danshi, as well as the song’s vibes really well. Everyone is their own person, everyone is their own color. No one is like the other person, but together they bring harmony. Just like how all the mismatched outfits look put together.

If you’re a fan of their previous tracks like “NANIWA’n WAY,” “Seishun Rhapsody” and “Join Us!,” you’ll definitely love “Doki it!”
