Episode 2 of Travis Japan’s podcast “Toramimi” on mimi-ni is now available on international streaming—so international fans can enjoy it too!
Travis Japan launched their very first podcast on STARTO ENTERTAINMENT’s new audio platform mimi-ni—coinciding with the release of their album ‘s travelers.
This week, the members kicked things off by chatting about the 2025 Buzzword Awards (流行語大賞). Since the episode had been recorded before the winners were announced, they only had the nomination list to work with—so naturally, it turned into a prediction game, complete with playful commentary on which phrases felt actually “everywhere” this year. The conversation then drifted into an unexpectedly relatable tangent: how they use ChatGPT in daily life. They joked about treating it like a friend, teased each other about how seriously they talked to it, and even asked it to predict the winning buzzword—agreeing they’d praise it like crazy if it turned out to be right.
After that, the episode shifted into a “blueprint” moment for the podcast itself. The members explained that while the first few episodes were being recorded with all seven of them, the standard format going forward would often be two members per episode (with the occasional solo or full-group special).
From there, they brainstormed potential segments—fantasy casting drafts, advice corners, listener voice-message interaction, and audio-only games that could only work this well in podcast form (like guessing what someone is eating just from sound). They also pitched chaos-friendly ideas like prank “live commentary” designed specifically for an audio format, and even a word-only drawing description challenge that could tie into fan posts online.
To wrap it all up, they did their usual “chaotic sync” song-pick moment—landing on “Odoronakya Sonn” for the episode’s end—and reminded listeners that while the show can be heard on other platforms, the full version with music (and comments) is exclusive to mimi-ni.
Let’s all enjoy it together, shall we? 賛成!
