Toramimi #3 “Is This What the Two-Member Format Is Like?!”

Episode 3 of Travis Japan’s podcast “Toramimi” on mimi-ni is now available on international streaming—once again giving international fans a front-row seat to the chaos and charm.

Travis Japan launched their very first podcast on STARTO ENTERTAINMENT’s new audio platform mimi-ni—coinciding with the release of their album ‘s travelers.

This episode opened with another prediction talk, this time centered on “the Kanji of the Year.” Since the broadcast date fell after the official announcement window, the members jokingly treated it as a hindsight-friendly guessing game, tossing around both serious and completely unserious candidates. From Olympics-related trends and global sports headlines to rice shortages, money, strawberries (courtesy of ‘s travelers), and even “smiles,” the discussion bounced freely between current events and Travis Japan–specific humor.

The main focus of the episode, however, was transition. Episode 3 marked the final all-seven-member recording for the time being, as the podcast prepared to shift into its regular two-member format. To ease listeners into that change, the group ran a series of on-air “simulations,” testing different pairings and tones—from problem-solving talk segments to food debates, character-heavy banter, and relaxed, late-evening-style conversations.

Each pairing showed how drastically the mood could shift depending on who was behind the mic, reinforcing the show’s biggest strength: flexibility. By the end, it was clear that Toramimi wasn’t locking itself into one style—it was setting itself up as a space where anything could happen, depending on who showed up.

The members closed by inviting listeners to keep sending in comments, requests, and DJ-style nicknames, reminding everyone that while the format may change, the show is something they’ll continue building together.

Let’s all enjoy it together, shall we? 賛成!
