Toramimi #4 “Starting Today, It’s a Two-Member Show ♫”

Episode 4 of Travis Japan’s podcast “Toramimi” on mimi-ni is now available on international streaming—once again giving international fans a front-row seat to the chaos and charm.

Travis Japan launched their very first podcast on STARTO ENTERTAINMENT’s new audio platform mimi-ni—coinciding with the release of their album ‘s travelers.

This episode marked the official start of the two-member format, with Kaito “Machu” Matsukura and Shizuya “Shizu” Yoshizawa taking the mic for the first pairing. Opening on a playful note—complete with joking confusion over voices and Christmas Eve timing—the episode quickly settled into a relaxed, conversational rhythm that highlighted the contrast (and chemistry) between the two.

The pair reflected on their recent appearance on All Night Nippon Premium, where a talk-battle segment had once again crowned Shizu as the “true talk leader,” much to Machu’s mock despair. From there, the conversation shifted naturally into Christmas Eve memories: Shizu shared a warm family tradition of watching Home Alone every year, while Machu reminisced about walking past the winter illuminations of Yurakucho during his junior-era stage performances—quiet, reflective moments that grounded the episode in seasonal nostalgia.

The core of Episode 4 introduced a new recurring concept: “Teppan Talk”—a talk-training segment designed to sharpen the members’ storytelling skills. What followed was an on-air breakdown of delivery, tone, pacing, and perspective, complete with immediate feedback and a second attempt at the story—turning the podcast into a genuine practice space rather than a polished performance. The segment was frank, slightly awkward, and surprisingly insightful, perfectly capturing the podcast’s new direction as a “training ground” rather than a finished product.

To close, the two read early listener messages praising the launch of Toramimi and mimi-ni’s music integration features, expressing gratitude and reaffirming their goal of having “talk” stand alongside dance and music as one of Travis Japan’s strengths. They also touched on preparations for the upcoming Travis Japan Concert Tour 2026 ‘’s travelers’, inviting fans—whether attending in person or listening from afar—to stay connected through the podcast. Episode 4 ultimately felt like a soft but confident reset: quieter, more focused, and intentionally imperfect, signaling that Toramimi is now entering its next phase.

Let’s all enjoy it together, shall we? 賛成!
