Following its earlier announcement as a Disney+ original, “Travis Japan Summer Vacation!! in the USA (Travis Japan Summer Vacation!! ―7人のアメリカ旅―),  is now confirmed to premiere on May 1, 2026, exclusively on Disney+. The series will span 10 episodes, opening with three released at once before continuing weekly — turning what was first introduced as a “summer vacation” into something that unfolds more like a story in motion.

The project follows all seven members — Kaito “Chaka” Miyachika, Kaito “Umi” Nakamura, Ryuya “Shime” Shimekake, Noel Kawashima, Shizuya “Shizu” Yoshizawa, Genta Matsuda, and Kaito “Machu” Matsukura — across a 10-day journey through the United States, filmed immediately after their world tour. The documentary closely follows the group during a rare 10-day break taken immediately after their world tour. Set across the United States — a place deeply tied to their history — the members split into two teams to explore both natural landmarks and local culture, based on an itinerary planned by Noel, who holds a travel planner certification. The journey ultimately leads them back to Los Angeles, the city where they once lived together while pursuing their debut.

Travis Japan built a major turning point in their career in 2022, when all seven members relocated to Los Angeles to refine their skills in dance, vocals, and performance. That same year, they appeared on America’s Got Talent, advancing to the semifinals and gaining global recognition, before making their worldwide debut with “JUST DANCE!” in October. Since then, the group has continued to expand their activities across tours, dramas, and variety.

The newly released trailer captures both the scale and intimacy of the journey. Alongside scenes of vast American landscapes, the members are shown in relaxed, unguarded moments — laughing together, interacting with locals in English, and moving freely outside of their usual performance setting. At the same time, the emotional core of the series becomes clearer as the group makes their way back to Los Angeles, described as their “origin.” During this final stretch, the seven reflect on thoughts they had yet to fully express, sharing conversations shaped by both their past struggles and their present growth.

The trailer closes with all seven members stacking their hands together and calling out their signature chant, “Sansei!” — a moment that signals not just unity, but a renewed commitment to what lies ahead. The journey is positioned as a turning point, deepening their bond and marking the beginning of their next chapter as a group.

The key visual released alongside the trailer carries the phrase “Back to where it all began—10 unforgettable days,” showing the members standing together against the backdrop of the American landscape, arms around each other, and expressions at ease. It reflects the tone of the series as a whole: a rare pause in their fast-paced career that ultimately leads them forward.

To many, this is not simply being received as a fun travel show. Beyond the joy of seeing the members outside the sparkling yet demanding world of the music industry, the series feels like a return to something far more emotionally loaded: the America that changed Travis Japan’s life. What many are reacting to is not only the scenery or the trailer’s beauty, but what America represents in the group’s story — their uncertainty, ambition, separation from fans, growth, debut, and everything that followed.

Then there is the symbolism of seven. 2025 carried a quiet sense of uncertainty, particularly following Noel’s hiatus announcement at the end of 2024. Even as VIIsual reinforced the message that Travis Japan is — and remains — seven, a certain unease lingered. The awareness that nothing is guaranteed never fully disappears. And yet, fans continued to hold on to that visual: Travis Japan as seven. Not as an ideal, but as the only version that has ever truly existed. Through every shift, every pause, and every unknown, these seven continue to choose each other.

Over and over, fans come back to the same feeling: the joy of seeing Travis Japan as seven. Not in a generic “their bond is strong” way, but in a deeply fan-specific one — that simply seeing the seven of them together, laughing, reuniting, crying, and stacking their hands again is enough to make people emotional.

At the same time, the trailer seems to have unlocked memories of that period when fans were worried, waiting, and searching for updates. That gives the documentary a kind of retroactive tenderness: fans are realizing that while they were wondering where Travis Japan were, the group was out living something meaningful that they can finally witness now.

The framing of America as Travis Japan’s origin” has also stirred more complex feelings, too — especially among those who have supported the group since their early days in Japan. For many, “origin” is not tied to a place, but to years of shared history built long before Los Angeles. In that sense, what this journey represents may be better understood not as a beginning, but as a turning point.

As the members themselves have previously shared in an earlier interview, their decision to go abroad was never about leaving Japan behind, but about expanding what they could become. Their time in Los Angeles was driven by a desire to challenge themselves, to grow beyond what felt like a “safe zone,” and ultimately to bring something new back to the fans who supported them from the start. Even as they stepped onto a global stage, they remained rooted in the identity they built within Japanese entertainment — carrying with them not only their skills, but the responsibility of representing it. In that light, America is not where Travis Japan began, but where they chose to evolve.

It all echoes what member Genta had previously shared about the experience — that despite having traveled extensively as a group, this series felt like the right moment to finally share those memories with fans. What began as a rare chance to rest after a demanding schedule became something more meaningful: an opportunity to rediscover each other, to experience new sides of the places they once knew, and to reflect on how far they’ve come since those early days in Los Angeles. From cultural encounters to unexpected moments along the way, the journey offered not just new experiences, but a renewed perspective on both their past and their future — and a hope that, through this series, even more people around the world might come to discover Travis Japan.

“Travis Japan Summer Vacation!! in the USA” begins streaming May 1, 2026 on Disney+. What began as a summer break now reveals itself as something far more lasting — a return to where it all began, and a quiet turning point toward everything still ahead.
