Naniwa Danshi keeps reaching new heights as they approach the 5th anniversary of their CD debut. With only a month to go before the release of their new album, ND⁵, the sparkling 7-member unit just did an early digital release of one of the songs featured in the upcoming collection.
The track “Be My Baby” is now available on digital platforms in celebration of the release of “Yamaguchi-kun wa Warukunai,” a romantic comedy starring member Kyohei Takahashi (in his third lead movie role!) that premiered in Japan on May 8. Kyohei has been very active as an actor as of late —especially on film, including a leading role in last year’s “Romantic Killer” and a key supporting role in the highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of “Blue Lock” later this year.
An excitingly catchy pop love song with uptempo beats that have you obsessed, “Be My Baby” also serves as the official theme song for the aforementioned movie. In the style of a classic pop ballad that you can never go wrong with, the lyrics are written fully in Kansai dialect that brings out their natural Kansai charm. After all, they are Naniwa Danshi carrying the Naniwa soul.
As Naniwa Danshi continues to deliver the world’s best smile combining their usual pop beats and a dash of love with their latest song “Be my Baby”, be prepared for what else they got in store for their 5th anniversary!
“Be My Baby ” is already unlocked across all the usual streaming services! Do check it out!
