Snow Man Releases 9 Solo MVs from ‘THE BEST 2020-2025’

Music videos for the solo tracks from Snow Man’s latest album, “THE BEST 2020 – 2025,” have been released on the group’s official YouTube channel.

The album sold 1.395 million copies in its first week—even hitting the million mark on the first day of sales—debuting at No. 1 on the latest Oricon Weekly Album Ranking announced on January 28. This marks Snow Man’s fifth consecutive No. 1 album, following their first album, “Snow Mania S1.”

Notably, the first-week sales of 1.395 million copies surpassed the 1.081 million copies of their previous album “RAYS,” setting a new personal best for first-week sales. Additionally, in just its debut week, the album exceeded the cumulative sales record of “i DO ME,” making it Snow Man’s highest-selling album to date.

Moreover, the album broke the Reiwa era’s highest first-week sales record, surpassing Arashi’s 2019 album “5×20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019”, which sold 1.304 million copies in its first week.

This marks the first time in 26 years—since Mr.Children’s “DISCOVERY” in 1999—that a male artist has achieved three consecutive first-week million-selling albums, and it is the first such achievement in the Reiwa era. Snow Man also joins the ranks of B’z, Mr.Children, and GLAY as only the fourth act in history to reach this milestone.

Additionally, with five consecutive million-selling albums from their debut album Snow Mania S1 to THE BEST 2020 – 2025, Snow Man made Oricon Weekly Album Ranking history by becoming the first artist ever to achieve five consecutive million-sellers from their debut album since the chart began in January 1970.

This album marks Snow Man’s 5th debut anniversary and is their first-ever best album. The lead track, “SBY,” serves as the theme song for the theatrical film “Trillion Game”, starring group member Ren Meguro.

This thrilling event is not just another milestone; it’s a monumental celebration of their journey! Snow Man is primed to ignite the stage with their first-ever stadium concerts, Snow Man 1st Stadium Live ~Snow World~, at:

  • Tokyo National Stadium – April 19 & 20
  • Nissan Stadium (Kanagawa) – June 7 & 8

From breathtaking performances to emotionally charged solos, each member has showcased their unique artistry, proving why they are the dancing dynamites of the industry. With physical sales breaking records, the only charts left to top are the digital ones—and it’s only a matter of time before they do.

Koji Mukai’s solo song “Finder” marks a pivotal moment in his career, blending his personal history with a bold step into global recognition. Directed by Prapat Kusirivanichakorn from Thailand, the music video carries a deeply personal significance, as Mukai is half-Thai himself.

While other Snow Man members have openly expressed ambitions for overseas expansion, Mukai, ever the steady and methodical worker, previously stated in interviews that he wanted to focus on establishing himself in Japan first. Yet, in a poetic twist of fate, he has become the first member to lead a solo project filmed abroad, making his journey one of both personal and professional significance.

The filming process itself was kept under wraps, with fans only later realizing that Mukai had been in Thailand working on this project while balancing his numerous other commitments. The result is a visually stunning and emotionally resonant piece, reflecting not only his personal heritage but also the evolving identity of Snow Man as a group expanding beyond domestic borders. Despite the grandeur of an overseas shoot, Mukai has never lost sight of his roots and the core of his appeal—balancing large-scale ambition with an intimate, heartfelt connection to fans.

Beyond the global scale of the production, the song itself feels like a love letter to his fans. Mukai is known for his unwavering dedication to those who support him, from his daily updates to the heartfelt messages he shares. His lyrics are filled with references that longtime fans immediately recognized, seamlessly weaving his personal interactions and routines into a song that feels both intimate and universal. It’s a testament to his ability to make even large-scale projects feel deeply personal, reflecting his warmth and sincerity as an artist.

Many fans have expressed their overwhelming gratitude for Mukai’s continuous presence in their lives. His daily messages and updates have been a source of comfort and motivation, and this solo project feels like an extension of that love and appreciation. The visuals, the lyrics, and the entire production capture Mukai’s kindness, perseverance, and ability to make everyone feel included. Whether he’s standing on an international stage or photographing memories in Thailand, his commitment to delivering joy and authenticity remains unwavering.

With this solo song, Mukai has solidified himself as a unique and irreplaceable figure in Snow Man, proving that an idol’s journey is not just about personal success, but about carrying the people who support them along for the ride. His ability to seamlessly bridge cultures and experiences, all while staying true to himself, is exactly what makes him one of the most beloved and respected members of his generation among fans and peers alike.

Hikaru Iwamoto’s solo song “7%” is a sophisticated blend of sensuality, maturity, and effortless cool. While many might have expected him to go for a high-energy dance track or a hard-hitting rap, Iwamoto instead chose to embrace a smooth, nighttime R&B sound that perfectly complements his deep, velvety vocals. This decision showcases not only his versatility as a performer but also his deep understanding of musical storytelling.

Fans have been captivated by the contrast between his strong, masculine presence and his incredibly sweet, rich voice. The song’s sultry yet classy atmosphere highlights his ability to exude grown-up charm without ever losing his signature refinement. Listeners have described the track as something that demands to be played during a late-night drive, enveloping them in its stylish, midnight city vibes. The minimalistic yet powerful choreography, crafted by renowned choreographer PURI, enhances the song’s sophisticated allure, proving that sometimes, less is more.

What makes Iwamoto’s performance even more striking is his ability to uplift those around him. Whether in music videos, on stage, or in dramas, he has a unique way of making his dance partners shine, gracefully stepping back when needed while enhancing the presence of those beside him. This level of mutual respect and awareness in his artistry only deepens the admiration fans hold for him. His song isn’t just a performance—it’s an experience, a glimpse into his mature, polished world, proving once again why he is such a one-of-a-kind presence in Snow Man and the industry at large.

Ryohei Abe’s solo song “Isso, Kirai ni Naretara.” has been described by fans as a refreshing and healing experience, akin to breathing in the crisp air of a serene landscape. Many listeners have likened the MV’s calming aesthetic to the effect of an air purifier, filling the space with a sense of clarity and tranquility. Unlike the often high-energy tracks of Snow Man, Abe’s song carries a gentler tone, making it a soothing and heartfelt moment within the album. His choice to sing in a lower key than usual enhances this sense of calm, allowing fans to relax and fully immerse themselves in the song’s emotional resonance.

One of the most touching aspects of the song is its universal message of love and encouragement. The lyrics avoid specifying the gender or identity of “Kimi; You,” allowing every fan to personally connect with the song, as though Abe is singing directly to them. The choreography also reflects this inclusivity, with the two dancers’ faces remaining hidden, creating the impression that the listener is the one standing beside Abe, offering support and sharing in his emotions. This subtle artistic choice has moved many fans, reinforcing the song’s overarching theme of warmth and connection.

Fans have also expressed admiration for how deeply Abe’s kind and sincere personality shines through in this track. Many note how his natural warmth extends beyond just this song—it’s reflected in how he interacts with fans, his dedication to his work, and his genuine appreciation for those who support him. The comment section of the MV is filled with messages from fans who wish nothing more than for Abe’s happiness, a testament to the mutual love and respect between him and his supporters. Through this song, Abe delivers not just a melody, but a heartfelt message of comfort and reassurance—one that continues to resonate long after the final note.

Tatsuya Fukazawa’s solo song “iro iro” is more than just a personal expression—it is a heartfelt tribute to his group, Snow Man, and the fans who have supported him. Written and composed by Kenta Kataoka of sumika, the song carries the signature warmth and depth that sumika’s music is known for. Fukazawa, known for his playful and lighthearted nature, chose a song that reflects his deep appreciation for his group members and fans, proving once again why he is the emotional backbone of Snow Man. The gentle yet powerful melody, combined with Fukazawa’s soothing vocals, delivers a message of unity, gratitude, and quiet strength.

The lyrics hold a special meaning, and fans have noticed the way Fukazawa repeatedly sings “Kimi; You” exactly eight times—a number that coincides with the eight members he shares Snow Man with. Unlike other members who used their solo tracks to highlight their individuality, Fukazawa’s song embraces the essence of the group, bringing together the colors of Snow Man in a single heartfelt melody. Fans have also praised how the song describes colorless days not as monochrome but as a vast, colorless universe, allowing space for infinite possibilities. This resonates deeply with Fukazawa’s philosophy of supporting from the background while ensuring that every member shines brightly.

For many, this song was long-awaited. Fans who had spent years treasuring Fukazawa’s limited solo lines in group songs now have four whole minutes of his voice, an experience they cherish deeply. His decision to avoid comedic elements—a route many might have expected from him—was met with standing ovations from his fans. Instead, he delivered a song that reflects his sincere love for the group and his pride in being part of Snow Man. Fukazawa’s voice, filled with warmth and quiet strength, has left listeners feeling reassured that as long as he is there, Snow Man will always be okay.

Daisuke Sakuma’s solo song “Mamoritai, Sono Egao” is not just a personal statement—it’s a universal anthem for all fans. Written and composed by Masayoshi Oishi, and with choreography by RAB, the song embodies the joy and mutual love shared between an idol and their supporters. Sakuma himself describes it as a song where the arrows of emotion point both ways—expressing both a fan’s love for their idol and the idol’s gratitude in return. This makes it a celebration of fandom culture, an uplifting track dedicated to every fan who has ever passionately supported someone they admire.

The song resonates deeply with people from all walks of life—some have even shared how it gave them a renewed sense of purpose, while others admitted it was the push they needed to finally join the Snow Man fan club.

What makes this track stand out is Sakuma’s ability to balance playfulness with sincerity. Despite being known for his high-energy persona, this song showcases his depth—not just as a performer but as someone who deeply values the connections he has built with fans. The call-and-response sections have already become a rallying cry among listeners, with fans eagerly anticipating the chance to shout their love back to him at a live concert. Whether through his dynamic stage presence or his heartfelt lyrics, Sakuma has once again proven why he is an irreplaceable presence in Snow Man and in the hearts of his fans.

His ability to welcome fans from different backgrounds into his world, whether through variety shows or intricate performances, speaks to his versatility and magnetic appeal. Ren Meguro’s solo song “Asa no Jikan” is a heartfelt piece designed to offer solace and encouragement to anyone struggling to move forward. With this song, Meguro not only provides a safe space for reflection and healing but also proves that even the brightest stars can shine their light to guide others through the darkness.

Shota Watanabe’s solo song “OTONONARUHOE” perfectly captures his essence as an idol and showcases his unparalleled vocal talent. While he may not fit the typical image of a glittering idol, those who know him understand his dedication to his craft and the pride he takes in his role. The song’s lack of choreography highlights his natural movement and expressive dance ability, making it an authentic and heartfelt performance. His ability to deliver technically challenging vocals while maintaining an emotional connection to the audience sets him apart as a true main vocalist of Snow Man.

Beyond its technical prowess, Watanabe’s song resonates deeply with fans because it reflects his personality—lighthearted yet meaningful, playful yet deeply caring. Fans admire how he naturally considers others without making them feel burdened, and this warmth is evident in his music. Moreover, considering his demanding schedule over the past year, it is touching to know that he poured his heart into creating this solo, offering not just a gift to fans but also a source of strength for himself. His decision to embrace a classic J-POP idol song, even amidst agency challenges, further solidifies his love for and commitment to his career as an idol.

For Snow Man fans—especially those who adore Watanabe—this song is nothing short of a gift, encapsulating everything that makes him such a special and irreplaceable idol. And for that, we say—thank you, Shoppi! 💙

Raul’s solo song “INDUCTION” stands as a striking testament to the fusion of art and idol performance. In his own words, Raul describes the track as a piece that encourages contemplation rather than making statements—it is neither a critique nor a proposal, but rather a question posed to the listener. The Music Video itself is an art piece, challenging the perceived divide between the entertainment of idols and the tradition of fine art. With aesthetic precision and deliberate motion, Raul delivers a performance that goes beyond conventional idol expectations, blending movement, visuals, and sound into a thought-provoking experience.

One of the key themes Raul explores is the evolution of how people consume art and entertainment. In an era where fast-paced digital consumption dominates, Raul acknowledges the allure of rapid information streams like TikTok while also advocating for the value of slower, more immersive artistic appreciation. He reflects on how past generations found joy in deeply engaging with given works, imagining and interpreting them in ways that extended beyond instant gratification. The song and its visuals serve as an invitation to balance these two worlds—one of immediacy and one of deliberation—without favoring one over the other.

Fans have been deeply moved by Raul’s intelligence, vision, and artistry, with many expressing awe at his ability to weave dance, aesthetics, and philosophical insight into a single performance. Some have admitted to having no prior interest in idols but found themselves captivated by his presence, while others have likened his approach to that of renowned artists, transcending the traditional boundaries of idol culture. Raul’s performance is a reflection of his evolving artistic identity, proving that he is not just an idol, but a creative force shaping his own unique path. This song is more than just a performance—it is a statement of possibility, an exploration of how art and entertainment can coalesce in new and unexpected ways.
