If you’re looking for the perfect soundtrack to scream, laugh, and cry to at karaoke, SUPER EIGHT just dropped it—and it’s called “BUCHI★I GOT IT.”
Released on April 17, this freshly written track explodes with energy, swagger, and sparkle, reflecting everything we love about SUPER EIGHT—and everything we didn’t know we needed in a karaoke anthem.
The retro, nostalgic vibes hit just right—and it’s such a joy to see SUPER EIGHT return to their roots with vibrant colors and bold set designs, echoing the charm of their early MVs.
As the newly appointed ambassadors for commercial karaoke system DAM, the five-member group brings their signature mix of emotional honesty and playful chaos to a full-scale celebration of music, friendship, and that special kind of hype only karaoke can bring.
“BUCHI★I GOT IT” (read: Buchi Agari) isn’t just another hype song—it’s a love letter to catharsis. Written by MONJOE (DATS) and Pecori (ODD Foot Works), whose previous works with the group include “大再生” and “Back 2 The Kids,” the track is drenched in confident rap lines, electric beats, and a sense of grown-up mischief. Models from legendary gyaru magazine egg even join in for the chorus, creating a vibrant party atmosphere that screams “everyone together!”
Fans online have echoed the same feeling. YouTube comments are overflowing with love for the MV’s vibrant set, nostalgic energy, and sheer emotional punch.
Viewers praised how only SUPER EIGHT could pull off such a unique world, blending Heisei-era flair with Reiwa-era relevance. Others called the song their weekly Friday boost, saying, “SUPER EIGHT helped me survive the week—now I can power through one more day.”
The chorus has become an emotional rallying cry. From fans practicing choreography in advance to hopeful comments wishing to hear it live alongside older tracks like “罪と夏,” the song is already woven into the group’s larger story.
From the surreal pizza-to-okonomiyaki visual gags to choreo everyone’s already dancing in their heads, fans have been dissecting every second of the MV with giddy joy. Murakami saved up takoyaki instead of pizza, so it turned into okonomiyaki—chaos logic, and we’re here for it!
But beneath the party, there’s poetry—and a lyrical backbone that transforms this from just another pop song into a philosophical exploration of selfhood, isolation, and emotional transformation.
The lyrics speak to the emotional drought of modern life—tired economies, the craving for recognition, and the aching desire to be loved. Still, the answer isn’t to run from it.
It’s to scream into it. To laugh louder. To sing together. These aren’t just verses. They’re mirrors.
“BUCHI★I GOT IT” holds up a light to our inner contradictions—the need to be loved, the fear of shame, the desire to scream in a world that tells us to stay quiet.
And yet, in the very act of singing—of screaming with the crowd, of laughing with friends—we find ourselves. That’s what “I GOT IT” means.
Not just that you understand the lyrics. Not just that you hit the high notes.
It means you got yourself. Finally. Loudly. Clearly.
“I GOT IT” becomes more than a catchphrase. It’s an anthem for anyone searching for clarity, courage, and a little chaos on a cloudy day.

To celebrate the release, SUPER EIGHT brought the energy straight into the spotlight with their DAM collaboration and a CM campaign filled with laughter, hugs, and the unforgettable phrase: “やっぱ、DAMやね!” (“After all, it’s gotta be DAM!”), which began airing April 17.
Dressed in their CM shooting outfits, members You Yokoyama, Tadayoshi Ohkura, Shingo Murakami, Ryuhei Maruyama, and Shota Yasuda appeared at a media event the day before its launch, brimming with enthusiasm and stories from behind the scenes.
The event revealed a surprising first: while SUPER EIGHT has a history of buchi-agari (full-on hype) songs, this is the first time they’ve made it the title. Ohkura explained their growing comfort with rap-style songs, while Yokoyama smiled, saying, “I’m happy to see the kind of live-style rap we’ve been doing finally get some shine. I want people to go wild to it—even at a BBQ!”
One of the CM’s most heartwarming moments? Repeated hugs between Yokoyama and Yasuda, as seen in the behind-the-scenes footage. When asked if hugging each other is unusual, the group answered without missing a beat: “We do it every day. We even hugged before coming out today!”
Pure idol serotonin.
In a talk segment themed around karaoke, the group shared classic behind-the-scenes stories. Who’s the top batter when they hit karaoke? According to Murakami, that honor usually goes to Maruyama: “He kicks things off with high-energy songs that get everyone in the mood.”
And when asked who sings last?
“No one. We all sing, then we all leave together.”
No solos, no spotlight hogs—just the kind of tight-knit teamwork that’s become a signature of SUPER EIGHT over the years, both on stage and off.
Ohkura even pitched a new idea for a future “DAM concert”, featuring karaoke-style scoring and segment-based fun. The idea got an enthusiastic “That’s it!” from Murakami—only to laugh and say he said the wrong phrase. A perfect example of their unscripted synchronicity.
Just when the event seemed ready to wrap up smoothly, Maruyama had other plans. The event was set to end on a cool note with Yasuda commenting, “DAM’s new four-mic setup is a game-changer. We’ve fought over mics before… but now everyone can shine. I hope people can just enjoy karaoke and brighten their days with it.”
But nothing with SUPER EIGHT ends “cool.”
Suddenly, Maruyama dropped onto the stage floor yelling, “I don’t wanna go home!!”
The members rolled their eyes and clapped back: “That’s not DAM, that’s just being a baby!”
Cue the laughter. Cue the hugs. Cue the chaos. SUPER EIGHT, as always, left the crowd with smiles—and a little more buchi-agari in their hearts.

“BUCHI★I GOT IT” isn’t just a song. It’s a message.
It’s about being loud in a world that tells you to be quiet.
It’s about choosing joy even when your heart is tired.
It’s about dancing through your doubts, singing through your sadness, and holding on to hope—even if you’re holding a karaoke mic instead of someone’s hand.
It feels like a chaotic fever dream… but it somehow makes perfect sense because it’s SUPER EIGHT.
Whether you’re belting your lungs out at DAM or watching the CMs for the fifth time just to spot each member’s catchphrase, or sobbing over the philosophical breakdown of emotional economics in a party track (we see you), remember:
You got it. We got it.
BUCHI★I GOT IT.
More SUPER EIGHT!
