Taisei Fukumoto is starting summer with a fresh new sound. His brand-new digital single, “Mondai desu” (問題です), will be released on July 23, 2025, at midnight (JST) across all major streaming platforms.

For Taisei, this release is more than just another digital drop—it’s the next step in a year that has been all about redefining his artistry and reconnecting with his fans. From the electrifying kickoff of his Yonmoji 1st Live Tour, to the intimate Colorfull Fanclub events, including the Egoistic Halloween online fan meeting, every milestone has felt like a deliberate celebration of the bond he shares with his listeners. His earlier singles, like the buoyant “Koi no Joushou Kiryuu” (恋の上昇気流) and the poignant “Sakura Typhoon”, showcased two different sides of his evolving sound—one soaring with playful, upbeat energy, the other reflecting on the bittersweet nature of change and moving forward.

Now, with “Mondai desu,” Taisei promises a more edgier, fast-paced rock-track that captures the raw pulse of vulnerability and the quiet ache of unspoken longing. This digital single unveils a new chapter in Taisei’s evolving artistry, one that trades the buoyant charm from earlier for something deeper, more confessional.
“I know I’m being selfish, but please don’t abandon me,” he sings, his voice carrying the weight of a heart laid bare: “In this world, it’s only you. Will you be the one to solve what’s inside my heart?”
These lyrics, shared by fans from his electrifying Zepp Tour “SUPER FAN FIRST” performances in July 2025, resonate like a whispered plea, weaving a thread of intimacy between artist and listener.
Onstage, Taisei transformed “Mondai Desu” into a vivid spectacle—his foot tapping to the rhythm, bathed in dramatic lighting that shifts with the song’s emotional crescendos, all accompanied by a live band and a megaphone. Fans at Zepp Namba described him as the “center of the world,” his commanding presence and dynamic choreography amplifying the song’s introspective core.
This is Taisei unfiltered, channeling personal conflict into a J-POP anthem that feels both universal and deeply personal. The “Colorfull” community has embraced it with fervor and anticipation for a track they call both heart-wrenching and lovable, a testament to Taisei’s ability to surprise and captivate.
“Mondai desu” will be more than a song—it’s a question posed to the heart, a challenge to connect, and a bold step forward for an artist redefining himself. As Taisei teases “a new Taisei Fukumoto,” this single invites you to listen, feel, and find your own answers within its melody.
